The French Carotte is way too much for me! Too much perfume, but exotic! It smells Nasty. The FUBAR is just good stuff, I wonder if yours is too dry? It happens. I feel fortunate to have a favorite! But Lotzbeck Vanilla Rooster blend is gaining.

Hey sorry to hear about your job Sage, Unemployment has its advantages! I lost my business of ten years, over a year ago, no unemployment for me, and then had emergency open heart surgery, But look on the bright side, at least we can still buy any brand of snus we want over the internet! Wait, whats that? Never Mind.

Actually we are talking about the FUBAR Grunt, it is from Dholakia in India. Very good natural tobacco taste with a hint of coconut and a very high nicotine content. And really just a very clever marketing ploy!!! I just have fallen for it, some say that QWS smokers blend is the same stuff, I have both and the Grunt has a little more of a coconut flavor to me. Both from Dholakia.

I have an order on the way of some traditional tobacco with slight scents added. From the reviews I have read these sound right about where I like them to be. I prefer a more earth traditional scent with maybe a hint of rose. I love them smell of fresh Cope although I do not chew (Obviously) so I figured these two sounded great.

            Railroad Mills Maccoboy

And I will quote certain parts of the reviews that caught my eye on this one. Some are quite funny!
Boldly ignoring all warnings I´ve taken a couple of pinches. Well, did I catch the buzz or did the buzz catch me, I don´t know. Suddenly a mouse wheel can be a very complex thing to handle...
To me it is like snuffing Copenhagen with a little rose in it. I like the smell of Cope so in my book it is a positive. I got it as a free sample form nicotine rush and used it up in a day. I ordered 2 bottles the next time around and have one left. It is so moist I messed up one of my wood snuffboxes. So put it in plastic or metal. It is honorable when it dries out.
I haven't had a nicotine buzz in years. Just got a bottle of Maccoboy in today and filled up my snoot in the normal fashion, and I'm sweating here. Smells and tastes like cope, not in an unpleasant way, with a hint of rose. I like it, but I wasn't expecting this buzz.
This snuff turned out to be a most unexpected pleasure for me! Maccoboy is about as far removed from an American dry scotch as you can get. It's quite a dark brown and of a medium to coarse grind and the biggest surprise was how moist it is. It's very easy on the nose, having little burn and the flavour has similarities with some of the Bernard non-Schmalzlers, like Pariser Nr. 2 and Civette.
Then I ordered an English version of this in a way. It sounds healthier because I guess the Railroad Mills is fermented which could bring the TSNA issue into question, and in all honesty, that is why I quit smoking. However, I am not sure how that would affect nasal snuff.

            Any ideas on that?

            Samuel Gawith London Brown

A very heavy, plain, dark tobacco is used here, superb grade of fermentation. But it ain´t going too much into the old leather direction. It rather has a very slight sweetness, reminding a bit of Perique tobacco.
This reminds me of the snuff sold in brown paper parcels I used to buy in France. I believe that this is the closest snuff to genuine Morlaix currently available and it is quite different to the snuff marketed under the name of that town in Bretagne in northwestern France by Wilsons of Sharrow. Some snuffs are velvety smooth and scented to a degree where the uninitiated might not realise that it is ground tobacco. No such mistake can be made here. It is dark and earthy with a grind that is only matched by SG’s black rappee in coarseness.
I apologize for quoting so many pieces of reviews, but I wanted to let you guys know what really caught my eye.

And lastly, I ordered some NTSU Menthol. I hear it's amazingly strong in the nic department and has a very good base tobacco. It also is very mild in the menthol department giving just enough to create a minty scent.

Anyone have any experience with any of these 3? I am very excited and looking forward to these, especially the London Brown. Sounds like the kind sagedil and myself can take big piles of!

            Thanks,

            -Qor

Qor if you think HDT is hard to manage Dholakia White is ground about 3 times as fine (I mean I did not think it was possible to grind something that fine without causing a nuclear reaction) Keep in mind most of my favorites are among the finely ground snuffs (HDT, Sparrow green, Toast and Marmalade, Rooster). So when I say it is more finely ground than anything I have had to date, I have a good grasp of finely ground snuffs. To me the white does not taste all that different from the black, which is by far more manageable and which is becoming a favorite of mine.

If you do get the white throw in a = size tin of Toque natural and blend the two using equal parts. It will bring the flavor of the white out while making it much more enjoyable to take.

The Americans are quite unique, but are one of the biggest challenges for a beginning snuffer.
Dude, this rocks. Thank you so much.

I guess this is as good a time as any to thank you for all the great advice you don't know you've given me. Same goes for sage but, sssh, our little secret, okay?

Do you guys know where I can get a cheap sampler box of snuff? I like the nic hit and feel of snuff, but the only kind I've had is the Bat WTF, and I don't care for the taste of that.

NicotineRush.com seemed to have some decent samplers ranging from $6 to $20 or $30.

I just ordered this from them:

                    Rooster Scotch
                    Ozona Spearmint
                    Bernard Zwiefacher Smalzier
                    FUBAR Medic
                    Rockit Ice

All I've tried so far are the standard Ozonas, Toque Cherry, and Toque Whisky and Honey. If you couldn't tell, I like menthol.

I kind of want to try Toque Cherry and the chocolate pudding one together. =D

Toques' website has a 10 can sampler I'm looking at. You get to pick your flavors. Kinda cool. 8)

Plus, you pay no shipping when you order direct from Toque

I am a huge Toque fan for Newbies, most of their snuffs are just so easy to take.

From what I've read, they say you should start with moister snuff. How's Toque for that?

Toques med-fine, and on the dry side. It's a good starter snuff. The toasts can be a little challenging for the beginner, but even they aren't so bad.
