I have spent most of my time messing around with the English snuffs up to now, but I just got a tin of Bernard brasil droppelt fermentiert in the mail today. Anyone care to give a short crash course in german snuffs, i.e. what is this stuff?, what else tastes like it?, and is there any way to copulate with it? I have tried gletscherprise, but other than that, I am totally in the dark about german snuff.

I love the schmalzlers that I have had. They are deep rich spiced and usually very damp and coarse. I find them best taken off the back of the hand (pinching tends to clump them up too much.
If you like the Brasil you need to try F&T Old Paris (you need to try OP anyway regardless). I tend to lumped OP in the same taste category as the schmalzlers. However, it is not fermented, is not as course (thus a bit easier to manage) and not quite as rich. OP is like a schmalzlers lite (though it is no lite snuff by any stretch of the means)

Thanks for the link and advice dog. I actually have a 25 gram of OP headed my way in the mail as we speak, so I am glad to hear I made a good call on that one. The price of F&T is what steered me away from the stuff initially, but once I finally dislodged my head from my butt and realized that the northerner had their products for so much cheaper than everyone else, I ordered a nice little selection to try out.
If not you have got to get these 3
Bon Bon
Macuba
Prince Regent
Don't read any discriptions...............just order...............trust me.
As far as F&T goes. They either hit a home run or a putrid over perfumed dribbler back to the mound.
HDT is the best snuff period
Old Paris is divine
Seville is what hell will smell like
DR. Justice smells like the bathroom at the old ladies garden club

@timholian: Those Mini Bullets are a waste of your time, that's about a 2 hour supply I learned the hard way. You'll kick yourself for not ordering at least a 10g tin of each. My first order from Tom had a bullet of Toque Original my next order direct from Toque included a 25g tin of Original... Snuff said

BALLS! Well, I will know for next time thank you. I honestly don't know if this is something that I want to do all the time but wanted to check it out anyway. As a kids I snorted my fair share of Levi Garret though, it would make my whole head hot! LMAO
I love the Toast & Marmalade. To me it is one of Toques best offerings. It can be a little tricky to take so be patient with it-- but if you started with an American Scotch (as did I) it probably wont be a long adjustment period.
My top three Toques (in this order)
Natural Toast
Toast & Marmalade
Spanish Gem
(I need to revisit Original and Original Extra)
And I second N0mad re: the bullets- but now that you have them you can reuse/refill them if you want. So no harm done

The Spanish Gem and Lime Toast are really unique from Toque.
Agreed though on the bullets. Way too expensive for what you get. Does give a small bit to sample though...
