First, what snuff are you using??

What folks told me when I first was starting 3 months ago, was make a pile no bigger than a pea. Also, try not to even sniff, you almost just want to breathe in hard enough you catch the snuff. Practice a bit and you will discover just how little you have to try to make it hit your nose right.

Tristik, I don't know, but I just really don't like it. I have tried McCrystals, Porschel <sp?> and others. Actually have never tried any Toque menthol. But I really just disliked each one, rather intensely in fact.

I like menthol. My nose doesn't. The almost instant clogging is bad. I keep some around just for nose cleaning purposes.

        Lxskllr,
We only use 100% natural flavourings in our snuff and strive for the most accurate of flavours. I suppose that could make them appear a little bit one dimensional, though I think a lot of our customers would disagree. As I’ve said before, if we all liked the same products the World would be a pretty dull place.

When you get the flavours right it gives snuffers the same opportunities to make some of the most complex and amazing cocktails.
Do you remember as a kid mixing ‘jelly Beans’ cocktails? Well on snuffhouse.org they mix snuff cocktails.

A simple example would be mixing Chocolate, Espresso and Vanilla to make Mocha, but there are 100’s of different Recipes to try. You’re only limited by your imagination.

I agree completely. I don't fault you for Toque's style of snuff. It's a good thing. I've mixed up snuffs, and I think Toque is especially good for that task, it's just that I prefer mine premixed :^P

Most of my favorite snuffs of yours are the newer blends. Whisky/Honey, Toast/Marmalade, Christmas Joy. I'm also a big fan of the Original, which is the best standard SP out there imo.

Don't take my contrariness too personally. I'm more vocal about my Toque ambivalence than some other brands because I get the impression that people do some ass kissing when you're involved. You're very active on the forums, and I think that tends to make people want to tell you what a genius you are :^D They aren't necessarily wrong, but lets just say there should be a moderating force to keep your head size in check :^D

As you said; If everybody liked the same thing, there would be 1 snuff flavor, made by 1 company. My preference is Samuel Gawith due to the old school English blends, and Bernard as I like the German moist styles, and I think they do a better job than Pöschl.

Roderick, Toque produces fine quality snuff and that alone is a reason to be interested in your brands. It's absolutely natural that not everyone will love every brand.

Well, I'm not such a nasal-snuff-fiend, I've only tried Toque Natural until now and it is a very fine brand in the tradition of british "SP"-varieties, as far as my nose is concerned. If I continue to use SP-varieties, Toque Natural could become a favorite in the long run. It perfectly compliments some snus-brands, BTW.

The next I'll try is Toque Menthol. I'm among those whose nose gets blocket when using too much mentholated snuff, but I simply like the smell, and as I said, I don't use too much snuff in the first place, so the blocked nose is not really a problem. My current favorite is Mc Chrystal's Original & Genuine.

Apart from all that I would be extremely interested to try a Toque Irish Toast since this seems to be the only variety of snuff that my nose totally agrees with. My current favorites are Wilsons of Sharrow Irish Toast No. 22 and Samuel Gawith Irish D Light. I'm sure that Toque's interpretation of this traditional snuff-variant could also become a favorite.

Roderick, is there a reason why you don't produce an (totally unflavored) Irish Toast till now?

            Cheers!

Nope. don't really give a da** about Roderick (Not that I dislike you Roderick  ). I just think Toque is absolutely sublime, and as I have poseted so often, amazingly accessible for the new snuff user.

I love the fact there are so many snuffs out there, and as i continue to get more experience, hope to try just about everything there is before I die (think it may take that long). Still, having tried about 6 or 7 different brands, toque simply remains my favorite. And it isn't even close.

FWIW from the research I've done, Toque seems to be very user friendly especially for newbies like myself. I'm gonna throw a few cans in my next order and judge for myself. Not much of an a** kisser, but you have to admit that Roderick is a great salesmen, and seems to give a sh*t about customer service!

                    Ok, now I'm really beat!

Caught between a rock and a hard place.

If I say nothing, I look like a wimp !

                    But……

If I say good for you to Lxskllr and state that I hate ass kissers, I then become one, by Kissing up to Lxskllr and if I say to Sagedil you didn't have to say it twice, "Don't really give a da** about Roderick" am I kissing up to Sagedil?

Think I'll go and stick my head in a barrel of snuff.

Don’t worry guys, I can take it. LOL!

Chainsnuser, we're working on it, got to get the blend just right, but should be ready in a couple of months.

Ahhhh, this forum really knows how to pique my interest, because nooow I'm definitely intrigued by snuff. Just might place a bullet in my next order with Northerner... I'd better read more about snuff, though, just to be sure!

Yes Guys, a Natural Toast is coming in July. We normally keep new flavours secret till they launch, I don't know what I was thinking about when I let that one out of the bag.
