Most likely going to quit snus with Toque Snuff!

Hey, all well I have finally come to a conclusion I am going to quit snus and use snuff. I am currently awaiting a reply from the toque snuff website!
Now don't get me wrong I love snus but i for see it becoming a pain in the ass and i just don't won't to bother with that, So I figure now would be the best time to ready for a switch giving myself a while before it is hard to obtain snus. Also, if anything else i will just find I love snus and snuff!
So, anyone have any recommendations on toque flavors?

You know that nasal snuff is not in the same league, nicotine-wise, like snus and cigarettes, don't you?

Quitting snus with nasal snuff could be nearly as hard as quitting nicotine cold turkey or quitting with "nicotine"-gums.

On the other hand, many people are happy with the low, but noticeable amount of nicotine they get from nasal snuff and there are rumours that quitting snus is easier than quitting cigarettes anyway.

I've only tried Toque Natural until now. It's worth a recommendation.

    Just my two cents.

    Cheers!

Yeah chainsnuser, from my research i observed that nasal snuff has low levels of nicotine but i figure if ne thing thats all the better right?
I figure if i do make the switch if i ever wanted to quit tobacco all together it wouldnt be that hard with nasal snuff. but i doubt i will quit nasal snuff it seems very enjoyable and i also love smells LOL!

Thank-you for your 2 cents much appreicated!

Not to throw too big a monkeywrench in the works but....imported nasal snuff will be in as much danger as snus. There are American snuffs, but they are very different from the imported stuff.
I would suggest that you enjoy snus and snuff for as long as you can. I use both and might be able to use snuff exclusively. I refuse to find out until forced.

To answer your question, I am addicted to a few Toque offerings. Pomegranate, Quit, Whisky & Honey, Raspberry, Spanish Gem, Natural. Quit is a higher nic version of Natural. Most of the fruit flavors are great. Toque does get the flavors very close to what they are claimed to be.
Shipping, for me, runs a bit quicker than Northerner. 5-7 days to Ohio.

I'll tell you, it didn't work for me. I was using toque toffee.

I do entertain the idea to try again. but my current plan is to use snus till they pry it from my receeded gums, then switch to astronomical amounts of nasal snuff while organizing the underground snus-road.

Echo everythi9ng that has been said.

I LOVED snuff. But no way I could get by on just snuf alone. And, at least if you get into the Toque, the exact same problems with shipping through the mail...maybe.

Besides what has already been mentioned, I love the Champagne, Bourbon, Vanilla, Pomegranate, Raspberry.

Here's my top favorite Toques in no particular order...

                  Whisky/Honey
                  Espresso
                  Toast & Marmalade
                  Original
                  Christmas Pudding
                  Champagne
                  Natural

There's a few new ones I still need to try, but I'm waiting until Roderick brings out his plain toast before I put in an order.

I'm with sage and the others for me it is snus and snuff, with snus being my mainstay. But I love both

                    Whiskey and Honey
Toast and Marmolade (one of Toques stronger snuffs nic wise also finer ground than most so a little harder to take)
                    Spansih Gem
                    St. Clements

As for American Snuffs try Tube Rose- very managable with a natureal (vs artifical sweetness)

                    Railroad Mills Plain
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Yes and no. Outside Scandinavia, it may be easier. You're not constantly offered snus be friends, you don't see the fridge when you walk into any convinence store, you're not reminded of it all the time.

On the other hand, it seems to take longer to get addicted to snus, but its in no way an easy addiction to break. The higher nicotine levels for sure make it harder. Kind of like Canadian cigarettes (which have upwards of 2.8mg nic). My brother was addicted to those, and when he came back to visit Norway he almost started freaking out from not getting his regular nic levels so he started leeching off of my snus :P

                        Good point.

I almost never smoke alone; the only times I ever light up these days are around friends (practically all of them smoke).....it's also tough when you go to the store, realize you forgot your snus, and then end up standing at the cash register with a wall of cigarettes staring at you.

Snuff would be easier to make than snus if it came down to that. A bit of tobacco, a spice or coffee grinder and a sieve. Essential oils and/or flavorings are available at the grocery store.

My favorites are Toque Coke (amazingly good),Pomegranate,Spanish Gem,and Chocolate. I think the Chocolates easiest to snuff for beginners.

Just started using Toque on Monday. I've been using Rose all week. Very, *very* nice aroma, but it also has a pretty good burn. Opened the Espresso this evening, nowhere near the burn, but I dunno if I like the aroma yet. Go figure.

If you try it, definitely take it slow at first until you get the technique down Get used to blowing/wiping some nasty looking stuff out of your nose. And yeah, it's a completely different animal than snus.

I thought nasal snuff had an "instant" nic hit? Have yet to try it.

I think snus is more addictive than cigs. You can do it anywhere, and you're getting more nicotine. It's one addiction I don't mind having.

I think the smoking addiction is more physical than anything. I miss smoking outside if you're waiting around and it's kind of awkward. Plus smoking is something to go do. I also miss my old zippos.
