    Any menthol in this??
Yea, it's a medium menthol. So far everything I've had from Pöschl has menthol. I do have a schmalzler from them I haven't tried yet. That /shouldn't/ have menthol, but if it doesn't, it would be a major departure for them.
Makes me feel better. I had given up on Pöschl for that very reason. Angers me when Snuff descriptions fail to mention the presence of menthol. As any just completely ruins that snuff for me.

All of the Poschls for sale in the US have menthol. Poschl is notorious for putting menthol on everything. I don't know about the schmalzers, with Poschl I wouldn't doubt if they are also mentholated. If you don't like menthol, Poschl is not your friend.

Yeah, it's a shame as I have always heard such good things.

But I really hate menthol, any menthol in my snuff. Tis OK. I still have plenty to choose from.

Chad got my Pöschl, along with a few others I got before I either realized I hated menthol, or didn't know they had menthol in them

I'm confused... The snuff you're referring to here is the kind you snort up your nose? Not dip snuff right?

            Correct.

Anytime you see "snuff" used here, that is what we are referring to.

EDIT... And you don't "snort" it up your nose. Very, very bad if you do that. You breathe it in lightly. Unlike cocaine or meth, you want the tobacco to go no further than your nostril. Nicotine is absorbed from the mucus membranes there, similar to how nicotine is absorbed from snus. you DON'T want it in your sinuses, your throat, or anywhere else. So gently, not even a sniff. Just breathe it in.

I snorted once. The feeling was like ice cream headache except sharper and more located near the temples followed by a nasty snot taste in the back of my throat. Hell of a burn too.

I go to Emerson's often... that's where I got the snuff. The woman behind the counter told me to take the sticker off... she said her last customer wanting to try it failed miserably trying to take the lid off  I would have done the same.

I sure wish they'd restock the snus fridge there.

Blow. Or pick it if that is your pleasure.

Seriously, buildup usually isn't a big issue with me. I do take the time in my hot shower every morning to try and make sure everything is squeaky clean again. You can also use a nasal saline spray liek Ocean to help clean it out. I have some, but probably haven't used it in 4 months.

The Ozona's I've tried are great. The President is outstanding and you can use the tin as a mirror to check your nose.

I don't use snuff all the time. But if I did, I would probably use non-mentholated snuffs most. They don't clog up my sinuses as much.

Can getting too much in the sinus cavity cause a sinus infection? I have been feeling real groggy, headache, mildly feverish since I started using it.

If you are getting ANY in your sinuses, you are doing something wrong, sniffing too hard. You want it only in your nostril, no farther. Just breath in in lightly. One trick I can share. Take a deep breath and hold it. Then sniff the snuff while you are still holding your breath. Will stop you from breathing in too hard.

For a strong licorice taste, you can't beat Lowenprise by Poschl. It's like sticking a black licorice stick in your nose.

The first two times I breathed in too hard. I am not having an issue anymore... I usually just open up the hole in the tin, lean my head back and tap it in.

So far I have used it with Oden's Kanel (yum), and the other day I bought a small Ghiradelli chocolate with raspberry filling.... bliss. I am a chocolate fanatic.
