Handbaking is just a practice thing. You can do it, it's just a matter of losing a can or so while learning.
Pinching snuff is pretty much beyond me also. There are a few I can pinch, but mostly I just can't inhale soft enough to keep the snuff from hitting my throat and still get it in my nose.

Yes I know it was you Sage .. sorry about that .. guess I was just thanking chad because I know him from my hookah site.

Great method! I am going to go try it right now! I think I have it right? I inhaled deeply, and while I am still inhaled then I gently sniff?

I always have a problem with it getting in the back of my nose?

So, I admit it it, I am the lazy and/or idiotic snuff user. Apparently I was not logged in when I wrote that message. I just tried the Sage method and it worked pretty well, but then I discovered that I really just don't like touching the snuff and having to wipe the residue off my hand. So, I think for me it is just an OCD, gotta be CLEAN, thing. I'll stick to my automatik box!

LOL Sambooka, just giving you a hard time and Chad is the permanet thorn in my side here, so no way me letting him take any more credit than deserves.

Some background on my method. I am quite open on my "other" hobbies here. Learned I loved to snuff when I was smoking the green, take a nice big hit, and then snuff, and realized how easy that made it. Useful for folks just learning, it just isn't possible to breathe in too hard when you are already holding your breath

I think I have regressed in my snuffing ability. I really want an automatic box now. it seems when I take a sniff off my hand, or from a pinch, I just well up with nose moisture, have nose run, have to blow, and then start sneezing. I have tried to control my sniff strength as much as I can too. I have also tried the take a big breath in 1st method, but still. It seems the Roderick method is working best for me these days. An automatic box interests me greatly. I am trying to use my genius mind to devise an efficient snuff use method that does not require sniffing.

                      Method #1: Pinch, for tins.

Method #2: Bullets, and all else: on the ol' anatomical snuffbox.

My sniffing method is different for harsher or finer snuffs like rooster and WoS High Dry Toast - I pinch, but I take a series of very small sniffs in each nostril until I get a significant amount in my nose. It can take me a minute or two to get a pinch up there. I fill my lungs up to capacity before I sniff, and then exhale through the mouth after. I use this method with the more difficult Toque snuffs as well (e.g. Chocolate).

I also might add that I start my sniff not in my nose, but in my diaphragm - I found sniffing it through my nose sucks a large amount up much faster than the gentle sniff I start at the bottom of my lungs. I simply expand my diagphragm a bit and I can control the sniff strength a lot better than with my nose.

I might have to try the automatikbox for the drier snuffs.

I'm not admitting I've tried this before but since others have mentioned other sniffables, has anyone thought of using the tip of a key for snuffing?

Well using a snuff spoon is an ancient way to do it, so a key would work the same.

But it seems a bit low brow to me to use a key. Get a spoon if that is your thing. Or if you DO smoke a pipe, the czech pipe tool spoon s perfect for that.

The end thingy of a ball point pen cap works too.

                                I do that.

I've also used a fingernail clipper handle, it's got a nice little bend at the tip that works like a small spoon. At work I keep a plastic knife on hand to dose from tins to the back of my hand as I tend to dribble snuff all over the desk when I pinch.

I ordered three mini bullets, Blueberry (only one I have tried so far), Whiskey Honey, and Raspberry from Northerner, and they all just came in the mail....

I'll start with Dholakia White. This is absurdly fine. I can sniff a scotch or a toast all day without any complaints but this snuff is finer than dust....

I've recently gotten hooked on Toque snuff, and I just had a question for you snuffers out there:

Do you prefer the tins or the bullets?...
