oops, I left NTSU out too long and...

Took the cover off of a can of NTSU snuff to let it air out for a couple hours because of that strong ammonia smell. Well...the "couple hours" turned into a few days...or a week or so...and it's now about 1/3 the amount that it started with in the can from all the moisture evaporating from it.

BUT...the resulting powder is very easily pulverized between your fingers into a finer snuff, and talk about nic power  Guess this was an "oops" turned into a "whoa"!

I was wondering what would happen to NTSU if aired out too long! I can't do this stuff the way it is; fresh, moist & ammonia scented! I've heard of people using this snuff as dip, in their mouths! I couldn't do it, it stinks too much! I'm gonna air mine out for a day and try it again. The menthol version is a little better or at least the ammonia scent is masked a little.

I spread my NTSU out in a large bowl for 2-3 hours, stirred it every 30 minutes or so, a layer about 1/8 inch thick. It dried a quite a bit and became a wonderful snuff. Fresh and wet it smelled like my cat's litterbox. Totally unusable. Now it's one of my favorites. If you like the grind of NTSU try Taxi. Just as wet, no ammonia.

Yeah, to snuff NTSU you really have to let it dry out.
