    Dear Toque (Roderick)

I am a Toque flavor fan.

However, the grind doesn't appeal to me. I guess I am really finicky because 99% of everyone else adores it. I really enjoy the Toque SP Extra myself, because it has the grind of an amazing SP, which it is.

I was wondering if you were ever going to release a grind of a medium coarse cut with slight moistness? The reason why I ask is because I love the flavors you put out. They are simply top notch. However, I find myself really loving the coarser grinds. Not because I am a noob (I use toasts occasionally just fine.) but because I enjoy taking big pinches and having no troubles with them.

A good example would be F&T Old Paris. It probably has the best grind and moisture level out there for me. The flavor is amazing as well. But if a Toque variety had a similar grind, I would be in love. I don't even care about which flavor. I just love the grind. Also, it is not waxy like other coarse grinds. Lotzbeck Vanille comes to mind to describe what I mean as waxy.

To the point though. Do you have any plans, or does anyone know if they do, to possibly offer up a grind for us coarse huge pinch takers like myself? I know sagedil would probably enjoy this too, so I know I am not the only one out there!

    Thanks,

That's not a bad idea Qor. I like Toque as is, but I also like coarser/moister snuffs. Maybe a companion line explicitly differentiated by name would be a good addition to the Toque roster.

I have not tried any Bernards, but once again I am afraid it will be similar to the Lotzbeck with the waxiness. The Lotzbeck was great as far as scent, but I felt like I shoved a candle up my nostril and it was an instant clogging effect. It was more like a clump, similar to a wad of paper that you just stuffed up there.

Are the Bernard's like this? Do they use the parafin method?

But yes, a line of Toque blends using that type of grind would be just amazing!

I haven't had any Lotzbeck snuffs, but I think Bernard may be too heavy(waxy?) for your tastes. They're heavy, and tend to be a little clumpy. It's not the best nose feel, but the scents are worth it imo. Give Bernard Doppelt Fermentiert a try sometime. You may not ultimately like it, but it's truly a unique experience, especially when compared to the English snuffs.

I have had zero clogging issues with Bernard. Just none. At least try it once, worst thing, you have something to give away on the exchange.

I will give it a try, of course. I am open minded about snus and nasal snuffs.

What Toque flavors would you like to see with a coarser and more moist grind if that ever happened?

              Thanks,

                Qor,

It must be your lucky day!

Next week we release the long awaited "Berwick Brown". "Berwick Brown" is a coarse ground snuff, a nod in style to Kendal Brown.

                I hope you like it.

Way to go Roderick. I'm definitely interested in giving it a try. You've really been developing one hell of a portfolio over the last couple of years. I'm keenly interested to see what the next couple of years brings :^)

Woah, that is crazy. Roderick must wear one of them things on his noggin' like Professor X does. I have in my shopping cart right now a 10g tin of "Gawith Hoggarth Kendall Brown" because I was interested in trying that out.

Roderick, you can bet I will be making my first order on your site next week for that new blend you have. I just registered an account now, so save me a nice large tin of that new snuff! Very happy indeed.

I posted my order on the what do you have on order thread. Mostly F&T and Bernard, only Toque was my re-up of Whiskey and Honey. But the F&T are expensive. Over six and a half dollars per 24g tin, no 10g tins either.

This should be my last snuff order for at least 6+ months. I will just use up what I have right now. But wanted to balance out my Toque, now feel it is a good mix that will serve whatever my mood.
