    Doing different snuffs

When trying out different brands and flavored snuff, is it best to use say (1) per day to appreciate the differences in the taste/smell or is there a trick to being able to successfully "switch up" during a day?

I have presently finished a gram of Toque Raspberry and just started to appreciate the flavor more the 2nd day, however I do confess, I just had to bust open the Whiskey & Honey and actually attempted to start into it whilst still partaking the Raspberry on my 1st day. Due to this I am now thinking I haven't really been able to enjoy the flavor so much since the nose was still adjusting to sensing & expecting the Raspberry - does this make any sense (no pun intended) :?:

Would it be better to work one flavor snuff a whole day instead of switching up?

Any good methods for cleansing out the pipes to make the transition between flavors better?

I'm still a noob in the snuff department, but I do multiple flavors a day.

Yes, dip a pipe cleaner into a bottle of pipe sweetener, and--oh, sorry, wrong Other Tobacco Product

I use multiple snuffs per day, and seldom use the same snuff twice in a row. I don't think it matters much one way or the other as far as appreciation, or enjoyment goes. If I'm using a strongly scented snuff, I'll generally transition to a non complimentary snuff. Example...

Samuel Gawith Jockey Club(Citrus, highly perfumed)->Toque Original(Standard SP)->HDT or American scotch->Samuel Gawith SG Extra Menthol(warm menthol, comparable to McCrystal's O&G)

For the last 7 months, I have fallen into the habit of always carrying two flavors a day with me. I have two snuff bullets that I use just to carry the snuff. I do think about what I am gonna match together, but that changes with my mood.

And on the occasional day, I will sample a third from one of the tins sitting on my desk.

But yes, having multiple snuffs to choose from is good.

I'm guessing as my snuffing progresses I may be able to appreciate more than one flavor per day. Right now it seems best to pretty much stick with one per day as I evaluate what I like or dis-like. :?

I use 3-5 snuffs a day. Usually a good blow will clean most of the leftover scents out. If I get one that has real sticking power, like F&T French Carotte, I'll do a huge bump of menthol just to really get the sinuses flowing and clean. Most snuff scents don't last long enough to interfere with the next one.

I use 2 or 3 different snuffs a day....when I no longer have the scent from the previous one I switch to another.I consistantly use menthol as my nightime snuff by habit now! The Wiz!

I have so many, I just grab and use what I see that interests me at that time. Usually if I bring some to work, it's 1 or 2. I'm taking a few days off snuff, and using the neti pot, I feel like I have a sinus allergy.

My NicoTine Rush order came yesterday. As I mentioned in another thread, my free sample was "Rooster". I was just finishing up my first gram of Toque Whickey & Honey so figured, why not...

Took out a VERY small pinch of Rooster & it almost blew away before I got it on the back of my hand (Note, I was indoors so no wind, ect... ) yea, its just this dry. A very controlled "whiff" in each nostril - WHAM -. My eyes damn near popped out although I managed not to hit the back of my throat. 1st Impressions is the Rooster tastes like Barbecued nuclear waste (in a kinda good way, I think). I will certainly have to practice more with the Toque before revisiting this snuff.

Today I will be working a gram of Toque Chocolate.

Edit... Oops, Don't know where I had "President" in my head. Corrected, it was "Rooster".

President's not one of my favorites. The menthol is a bit sharp for my tastes. I do like the shiny tin though. It's handy to check for snuff boogers :^D

See my edit. I goofed. ops: The sample came in a little smash box so I didn't have a label and somehow had "President" confused with "Rooster".

Ah, Rooster. I could see someone having problems with that. That one's tough to use, even for me. I have to give it all of my attention, because it punishes carelessness.

I simply don't get enough from it to be worth the effort. But again, I have come to just prefer moister, more course snuff. I love snuffing big ppes of snuff.
