Some flavors last longer, but I'd say 1/2 hour is tops for any of them. Full time snuffers take a hit every 15 minutes or so I'd say. That's about what I use when I'm in full snuff mode.

American snuff is available in every gas station I go to. Every head shop I go to has European snuff as well. Snuff is used about 1000 times more here in the US than snus is.

Wow, it doesn't seem that way in Ohio but maybe I just haven't noticed. In three tobacco stores I went to there was only one that had snuff and they only had Red Seal. Moist snuff sure but not nasal snuff.

If you have Food Lion up there, check em out. In MD they have a fairly large American snuff selection. The Americans are all pretty similar though. 1 scotch, and 1 sweet is good enough for now. There's differences in the brands, but it's generally pretty subtle with a couple notable exceptions.

I think we might but I don't think I really want much more of this type of snuff. I don't really have any complaints. Its pleasant but not really impressive in the flavor category.

Food Lion hasn't made it this far north yet. American snuff is tough to find here. I've found 2 shops that carry any at all. Even then between both of them I found 6 brands.

I stock up when I go south.

What are the names of those shops?

...and so do you generally use more snuff every half hour or do you wait? How often do most snuff users take a sniff?

There is no right answer to that. You use as much, and as frequently, as you want.

Some folks, especially if the snuff is all they do, may snuff every 10 minutes all day long.

There have been days I have maybe snuffed 2 or 3 times. And then there have been days I have gone through cole to 4 grams of snuff. And everything in between

I usually do less than 1 oz of snuff a day, mainly because I always have a snus in place and non-stop puff my e-cigarette.

Yeh I saw those, I just don't know how grams and ounces translate to what I am using.

Well, if you are using a 10g tin of Toque. and the whole tin is gone after 10 days, then you are using on average 1g a day. If it lasts much longer, you are using less.

The purpose of those posts s to show that you can't do "too much" Some folks really can go through a 10g tin in several days. So, assuming you are doing much less, don't stress or think about it much, just use it whenever the desire hits.

Yeh I'm using much less then that. I'm not concerned with how much I am using I just think its a little annoying to do so often. I have been using a pen cap and using maybe a little more then half a BB per nostril. I don't really notice much more flavor by using more at a time with this Red Seal stuff. But, I don't have any desire for snus while I am snuffing.

I can't speak really for what you are using. I really, really get no enjoyment out of American snuff, and won't even try to use it any more. I really prefer a moister, more course ground so I can do large piles of snuff. Have NO issues with flavor that way.

This stuff doesn't have much of a flavor. I get a little sweetness but barely any tobacco flavor. More like malt. Do American snuffs use that sweet virginia tobacco? The Red Seal reminds me of the way they describe that tobacco. Light and creamy.

I am starting to think that the Poschl snuffs I ordered may do me good for sort of cleansing the palette a bit to make the flavored toques stand out. I have also gotten a little dried out in the nose with this snuff so I'd bet the menthols would help with that too. I don't normally like that type of flavor in my tobaccos but the vicks vapo rub effect seems kind of appealing for a nasal snuff.
