Menthol may work for you then. But I never have any need. I just stay away from American snuff, find very little to like about it

None of the Toques, F&T , and Bernard I use really dries my nose out much, nor do ever have any need to cleanse my palate.

Some flavors last longer, but I'd say 1/2 hour is tops for any of them. Full time snuffers take a hit every 15 minutes or so I'd say. That's about what I use when I'm in full snuff mode.

...and so do you generally use more snuff every half hour or do you wait? How often do most snuff users take a sniff?

Sorry, I must have overlooked this. It's hard to say, because I'm primarily a snuser. Snuff is more an interesting diversion for me. My use ranges anywhere from once every 15 minutes-a few times per day. I tend to use more in the winter. If I were using snuff as my only nicotine source, I'd probably use it in bursts. Once every 15 minutes for an hour or so, then once per 1/2 hour or longer for a bit, then back to every 15 minutes for a bit.

Going outside really wakes up the scent, and I highly recommend it. The fresh air is nice anyway, and it interacts with the snuff so well. Menthols seem to wake up more than the plainer snuffs.

Instead of thinking of it as a full time flavor like snus, maybe think of it as a piece of candy. You take a piece, it's delicious while it lasts, and then it's gone :^)

See, I agree with everything lxskllr says. And that is the reason I have now added pipe smoking to my routine. I love snuff, but it is over as soon as it happens. A burst of flavor, but that is it. Smoking a pipe for an hour or more, I really can commune with the goodness of tobacco, ponder it, examine it.

Right, thats what I was wondering. I checked out a few topics like this on snuffhouse and it seems like most of those guys use snuff almost constantly. Some were saying they use it every couple of minutes and the longest was about a half an hour or longer if working or something like that. I can't imagine doing anything like this so often. I am snuffing in place of snus while I try it out and I am snuffing every half an hour at the most and probably a little over an hour at the least often.

My snuff use, just like lxskllr's is intimately connected with my snus use. Snus is my base for everything else I do. So snuff can be added in as a fun and tasty treat, but would never be depended upon to get me through the day. Folks on Snuffhouse are a completely differen tbeing, That is all most of them do, so their usage is as compulsive as my cigarettes smoking once was.

I find the same kind of thing on my pipe board. There are many folks who smoke 10 -15 bowls a day. That is the only nicotine they get and they HAVE to smoke that much. But for me, pipes are just an additional pleasure on top of my snus base. So I smoke 2 -3 bowls at most a day, don't ever see doing more than that.

At this point I see myself dividing the day in one way or another with snus and snuff. I don't think I will use both at the same time and I do enjoy snuff but it losses its appeal for me after more then half a day. With an assortment of flavors I could probably go all day but I wouldn't use it outside the house or with company. I imagine they both have their advantages in different situations though my interests may favor snuff a bit since flavor is my main objective. Over but not excluding nicotine delivery.

As for the Violet.. I like it, very strong scent and almost 'soapy' but I can use it every once in a while.

Make sure to mix that Vanille with some Toque Coke for some extra pizazz.

Yes, the Violet is not at the top of my favorite Toque list, but like it, just need some more time with t think. It is a very interesting scent.

And yes, I have been meaning to try the Vanilla Coke idea. I will try the Vanilla alone first, have just heard it s even better than the Toque version so really ave been wanting to get it for a while

Well I got my Toque and Poschl today. First one I tried was Toque Whiskey and Honey. I was expecting more of a difference between the Red Seal and the Toque but the color, grind, and moisture seems very similar to me and the flavor is not a whole lot stronger. A little easier to take but not much. Its pleasant but I was expecting something with very strong flavor by the descriptions. Poschl is next. Unfortunately, my free sample was another American sweet called Society Sweet.
