Snuffing with a bullet

So I've been re-using one of the Toque bullets and recently ordered and received a bit larger metal bullet from MrSnuff off of E-bay.

I'm finding this to be my preferred method of snuffing. Seems to be far less waste, really convenient, and able to deliver a much better controlled hit of snuff vs.s the back of the hand or pinching methods. And if one desires a bit more than the bullet initially delivers, it's a snap to take another hit.

I don't know what happened to me, but it seems anytime I literally "sniff' in the snuff, I get congested, my nose wells up with moisture and I have to blow my nose and often start sneezing. Maybe I lost my technique, as when I 1st started snuff I didn't seem to have these problems.

So now, I take a pinch and literally stick it up my nose and rub it on the inside of my nose. It's not too difficult, and it seems to work well, and it avoids me having those issues I mentioned.

So, bullets don't work for me well, and really never did, as I have to "sniff" those up, and then well...

Haven't tried one yet but I am curious. I would probably want a few of them since I alternate flavors. I wonder if they make different ones for different grinds. I am leaning toward the German styles and they work totally different then the finer dryer snuffs.

I have a Dholakia bullet, but I don't care for it. The amount it delivers isn't enough for my taste. Also, I prefer a lower tech approach with snuff. The bullet makes me feel like I'm using a medical device, or some kind of drug paraphernalia(yea, yea :^P)

I just seems so much easier for me. I've tried "pinching" and I end up losing more than I pinch up. And the back of hand or pocket between thumb/forefinger, I end up spilling or fighting the breeze off my breathing or if outside it becomes next to impossible with even a slight wind -- poof* and it's gone.

When I was a snuff newbie, I too used the bullet as it is designed for those very reasons. But won't take long, 2 weeks, maybe 3, when the dose a bullet gives is just too small, no matter how many times I re-do it.

take a look on your hand at the dose the bullet is giving you. then multiply that same does by 50 times. that is the size of what I snuff today, at least among the Toque, Bernard, and F&T that I use.

Seriously, I use that much, a bullet can never give me even remotely close now to what I want to snuff.

:lol: BS! I'm going to have to call you out on this one. Later on just for kicks, I'm going to empty out 50 hits from my bullet and take a picture for the proof. Of course this won't happen till later tonight or another day as I will be spending the evening with my woman. :wink:

Not really, and the subject has been covered like a hundred times here. Go to snuffhouse and the conversation is still the same.

My typical snuff dose. And any bullet will be about 1/50th of this, if even that much

I have been reading through one of the big threads over at snuffhouse on this subject and they seem to like them alright. The sizes do seem to vary a bit and it seems they can be altered to give a bigger dose. Also they seem to say its more like 6 bullet hits are equal to what they use. Roderick should probably interject into this conversation. He was very active in this topic over at snuffhouse. I haven't really seen one but I think I could alter something to give whatever size dose I wanted.

Go for it. Some folks love bullets. Hell, I love them.,. to carry my snuff.

But no, at least what bullets have been out there are similar. Yes, a few are a touch bigger. Give you twice what a hit you might get from the Toque bullet.

But words are just silly, you can pick one up for so little money. But do pour out the dose it gives and see how small it is. Compare with the picture I already posted for you.

But some folks like the small dose a bullet gives. As with all tobacco, there can't be a "right" answer to this. But I do know that no bullet made gives a dose even close to what I want to use.

That is not really a fair characterization of what gets said on Snuffhouse. the majority of responses on both threads echo exactly what I posted. yes, *some* folks do them, especially if there work requires them to use that kind oaf aid to smoke. But again, read through most responses and they all say that the bullet dose is too small for them

The one I read is your first link and I disagree that the majority of posts echo what you are saying but there is no point in deciding which is true. I suggest that the others that are interested go ahead and read that thread.
