Carrying snuff in the "catch" lid

Does anyone carry their daily favorite snuff around in the "catch" lid / Ashtray of their snus can(s)?

I know some of the snus brands have tighter ashtrays than others so which ones have you found more secure or work the best?

Do the -toasts- work ok with this method or are they too fine and tend to leak out in your pocket?

ops: I was thinking of this topic when reading the "containers" discussion pertaining to snus and didn't realize I was posting this in here rather than the "snuff" discussions. Mods, Please move this topic there if more suiting. Thanks.

I think it would work. Purified snus in the oval tin seem to have an especially airtight lid. LD Black seems less airtight than most...

Almost all of the rest seem about the same, and pretty snug I'd think. Toasts could possibly be an issue.

ops: Lol! Actually I wasn't even thinking of that aspect. This could actually pose me a great danger as she sometimes likes to "fiddle" with my snus cans. Was more interested in the convenience factor and so not have to carry the full tins of snuff around with me in my briefcase, ect...

By the Purified snus, do you mean those Oomp & say Northerner Energy Snus's? Have yet to try any of them so not familiar with their lids.

Yep, that's the kind. My husband likes those... I don't care for them, except for the new "Merry Christmas" snus Northerner sells.

Anyway, the tin has a nice little compartment that I think could carry snuff quite well.

Oomph is pretty good stuff. I am not sure I would exactly call it snus but think of a very light General mini mint with a quicker nicotine kick. Oomph would be ideal if you are trying to sneak a portion without your girlfriend knowing. They are small and don't smell like tobacco. You could easily kiss her with a portion in your mouth. They come in flat plastic containers that have an oval shape and two compartments. Just go to Northerner.com and click on purified portion to see what they look like. Just curious Lazer. How is she fiddling with your snus cans? That seems to be a bit over the line. There are some smart people in this forum, let us know and I am willing to bet someone will come up with a way to rig your snus cans so she will never touch them again or you can make something up and say it is a can for used condoms. :wink:

I guess it isn't so much her actually fiddling with them yet but the minute I put "snuff" in there, I fear the worst. Her daughter is on a mission to take my can and flush it down the toilet.
