    Gawith Hoggarth snuff

I'm interested in trying this brand now. I'm thinking maybe the 'Fleurette' and 'Wild Mint'. Has anyone had these before? How dry are they? Hows the scents? Burn?

I too am very interested in this thread. They make some very well respected pipe tobacco too, so figured I should look in to their snuffs.

The only one I've tried so far has been their Tia Maria which was a disappointment. I'd seen it compared favorably with Sam Gawiths Black Coffee so I wasn't expecting a very dry snuff with too much floral scent and very little coffee flavor. That said I'll probably still give their Kendal Brown a shot in my next Snuffstore UK order.

GH snuffs are odd ime. They tend to be light and burny, and highly perfumed. I've had a few of them, and there's a couple I'll get again, but I don't feel the need to explore their product line. I think you'd do better exploring Samuel Gawith and Wilsons.

        Edit:
The 2 SG snuffs I like are SeaBreezes, and Lakeland. These are both perfumed snuffs, with SB smelling a bit like creosoted sea wood, and Lakeland smelling like men's cologne with a light touch of menthol.

Like all the SG snuffs I've had, the first think I think when sniffing is, uh oh, this will be too much, but they pull back before the perfume gets too bad... Well except for the Sandalwood. That felt like it was suffocating me in perfume. I mixed it down with some Superior scotch snuff, and it's much better.

        Edit2:
I seem to be lacking some hand/eye coordination today :^D

        Edit3:
My problem with the perfume is it smells kind of cheap. It reminds me of discount incense from the flea market. They've been around awhile, but their snuff strikes me as being an imitation of the big players. It's like a "me too" company that didn't put the effort in to do it right.

To me the Fleurette is way too perfumey, but the Wild Mint is very good. Wouldn't say they really burn much either. So if you like florals, you'd probably like the Fleurette, otherwise, just try the Wild Mint

Is the wild mint menthol? or just a hint of mint?

I've had their Kendal Brown which burns like a sonofabitch. I love the burn so this one is a keeper but it makes my nose run.

The SP is fantastic too. Classic SP but with a bit more bite to it. Somewhat similar to SG SP HM, IMO (acronym crazy there) but the base is different.

I'm not one for perfumed or menthol snuffs so I've stayed away from the rest of their line. But those two I like.
