Menthol Snuff Question/Suggestions?

I've been snuffing a few months now and am enjoying trying out new stuff. I like alot of the the non menthol snuff I have tried and there are plenty more flavors to go, but was surprised as I keep reaching for the menthol.

I know a lot of people have issues with the menthols but I am really digging them. I just got Hedges L260 and McChrystal's English menthol. Very nice and strong.

I also like Fubar Medic (but a little less than originally thought since trying these two out), McChrystal's O&G, and Toque menthol.

What else should I try as far as menthols go?

They are all similar (duh, menthol) so I almost wonder if I could just pick one of the ones I already like as a must have (Hedges) or is there a world of difference with another menthol snuff I haven't tried. I don't want to be chasing the windmills with this...

I do not like the nose feel of schmalzler style snuffs I have tried (but it wasn't a menthol) and am not too big on the fruity flavors (read apricot/ menthol and plain fruit flavors) but am open to all suggestions.

*I also like Crumbs of Comfort even though I know it's not a menthol.

Though it is a bit similar in texture to a schmalzler you have to try Poschl president and packard's club.

EXTRA crumbs of comfort. its like crumbs but menthol'd up. its pretty intense menthol. i like it though. fubar medics probably my fave though.

The Bernards tend to be oily, but not the coarse cut of the schmalzlers. You may or may not like them, but they're unique and some of my favorite snuffs of any kind.

The oil was what bothered me but the menthol might help cut that feeling. Definately will revisit Bernards, the flavor of the one I had was wonderful.

Extra CoC? I'm in.

Are Poschl snuffs oily? I'm not sure why I think they would be...

They're oily, but not to the same degree as Bernard is. Bernard will flatten out into a little snuff sheet when you press it, all stuck together. Pöschl doesn't really do that, but it's noticeably more moist than Toque.

my favorite is Ozona Raspberry. The raspberry is very very subtle, and the menthol is pretty strong.

I'm digging the menthol Bernards. Awesome flavor and the oilyness is not as bothersome as the non menthol. I'm glad i tried them (and now have to order the rest of lxskllr's list) Thank you.

Unexpectedly, the Poschl is giving me trouble. It isn't coming out of the pour spout in the can. It just gets stuck there. Is that normal? Should I air it out or try to break into the tin?

Sorry I got in on this discussion late Monkey. I am a big fan of Toque Menthol.....I find that some of the others I have tried have a "Citrus" scent to them...but the Toque(IMO)is "straight-up" menthol! maybe give it a try on a future order! The Wiz!

Sorry I hadn't gotten to this. My internet's been screwed up, so I haven't been keeping as close an eye on the forums. I never noticed tin clogging very bad with the Pöschls; Bernard OTOH... :^D

Your best bet is to wait it out. Smack the tin before you open it, and it should break up enough. Once you get a bit of air space in there, it should start flowing a little better.

Cool. I've been smacking the hell out of the Poschl and been able to get a good snuff out of it.

Update!

So I went on a Menthol quest and have the winners. I was surprised by some and hated others. The ones that have "made it" onto my rotation list are

Sorry I'm late to the party but........

Those other posters don't know what they are talking about. :wink:

I love the WOS Menthol Plus and Tom at Nicotine Rush has Dr. Rumneys Export that is almost as good as the original Dr. Rumneys Mentholiptus they quit making years ago. I used the Dr. Rumneys exculsively for about 10 years long long ago. I was really surprized and delighted that its being made again. Oh Happy Day!!

Try them when you get a chance.
