    How exactly...

do you use Nasal snuff? I've read http://www.snuson.com/viewtopic.php?t=4835 where Sage said to just 'stick it in your nose' but then what? Is it like a pris of snus that you just wedge up in there or do you snort it like a recreational drug from Mexico?

I imagine it's not really something you'd do at work, I can't imagine trying to talk to a colleague with one nostril bulging with snuff. How long do you leave it in for? After a period of time do you just blow your nose to clear it out?

    So confused...

i find it helpful to have a full lungful of air before i sniff at it.. you don't get hardly any actually up in your nose, especially at first. just the barest little sniff will do.

Nasal snuff is powdered tobacco, and you just sniff it in the nose, not snort it, just enough to get it to enter the nose cavity. Some snuffs are lighter and finer, which can be harder to control the sniff, some are heavy and moister, which is easier, and they are in a variety of flavors, blends, some with menthol, some not.

Ah ok, that makes much more sense. So if you get overzealous and end up snorting it up into your sinuses... bad things happen?

No, it's just not enjoyable. Usually, it just goes into your throat.

Yup, you just snuff it. There are different ways to go about it, but really it just takes practice. I have still not tried out a whole lot of varieties, but I have found toque snuffs to be the easiest so far (they are also delicious, to boot).

Start from the back of your thumb, hand or in a pinch, not from a bullet.

Snuff might burn (especially the first one), but the burn should be isolated to the tissue around the septum and in your nose, not inside your sinuses. Basically, if you feel like your head is going to explode, or you tear up or cough, you need to slow it down.

If your new to snuff try a wet pinch from a tin as this adds weight and helps keep the snuff in the front of the nose. Lick/wet your finger and thumb take a big pinch and gently place it, rather than sniff it, on either side of the septum.

Best way for beginners to avoid sniffing too deaply.

wow, that's really much nicer toque.... been trying to perfect sniffing out of the bullet, but that's awesome.
