    American Spirit Snuff

Anyone try it? I was thinking of picking up a bag of the Perique blend and grinding it. The lack thereof additives would make it a finer choice for grind your own snuff.

I know the RYO's are American made, Organic, Perique, and I think just some "regular" brand. Maybe pick up a pack if you want the Menthol. But the Perique sounds like it would be a nice blend or mixer.

I've heard of people doing that, and I'll probably try it myself in the future. I plan on toasting it in the oven. I'm hoping for something similar to an HDT.

I wonder if you could make snus or dip out of it.
Since it's air-cured it'd have less tsna's. I really want to know if there's a way to make it into dip. I'll try to if there's a way.
      I'd use the organic blend.

Nice timing, since I just sniffed a snootful of this very thing. I had the dregs of a pouch of Original blend left over and dried out. I had been attempting to make a coffee snuff. Figured I'd use this cheaper dead tobacco to see if my newest brilliant method would work to flavor it, instead of wasting my good tobacco.
I ground it in a mortar & pestle to a nice course consistency. Dropped the tin into my 1/2 full coffee can for 4 days. No additives, no toasting, no moisture. Flavor is OK, about where I wanted it. Nic hit is about level with most regular snuff. Burn is a bit more than I'm used to, but much less than some factory snuffs, like Bruton. Not a bad tobacco base. Maybe next batch I'll try toasting it a bit.

And yes it was sieved through pantyhose. The leg not the middle. lol

Sorry I may like my coffee like I like my women, but I don't want my coffee to smell like my woman.
