First time nasal snuff user. First order just made. Help please?

So, decided to order those Toque mini bullets. I have NO IDEA anything about nasal snuff at all. Not even how to used the bullet. Or what to do. I ordered blueberry, raspberry, and honey whiskey.

Guys, I need any and all information on this stuff. I'm just sooo curious! Am I snorting this like coke? Does it just filter through my body? Or do I need to empty it out of my nose or some crap? Snus has been my go to nicotine source for 5 months now. I kinda just wanna expand my horizons a bit. I even got an icetool and have been using Los quite a bit now. Smoke a Parliament Full Flavor Menthol here and there, pack lasts me about 2 weeks. It's not that I am getting bored with snus, I have just heard many good things about nasal snuff. Is my nose gonna rot off? Do you cough up tobacco? Guys, FILL ME IN!

I'm not an expert, I've only been using snuff for about a month or so but the first this you need to know before you hurt yourself... don't snort it! You lightly sniff it so the tobacco sticks to the inside of your nose. This takes some getting used to and some snuffs are harder to get right than others. With the ones you ordered, I think the whiskey and honey is going to be the hardest, but that one isn't too bad, so if you don't snort it, you should be ok.

As far as using the bullet goes, I only use it to carry snuff in my pocket. I tried using one a few times and even the snuff that is easy to take went way to far in and it felt like I blew out the back of my skull... but others may be able to help with that one. If you tap the snuff from the bullet onto the webbing between your thumb and finger, you can sniff it from there.

You will need to blow your nose to get it out, but your nose will tell you when it's time, just like when you have a cold... you'll feel the need to blow your nose. You may also sneeze... I didn't at first, but now certain snuff makes me sneeze. Sneezing is normal.

As far as your nose rotting off. No. It's pretty safe compared to smoking, so if it keeps you from smoking, you have very little to worry about.

If anything I said is wrong, or doesn't apply, I'm sure somebody more experienced will be along to help you out shortly.

Mini Bullets are cute but a waste of your time and money, order the 10g sample pack "10 for the price of 9" $ 20.00 you'll be glad you did.
Oh and at the very least try Pomegranate, Berwick Brown, Blueberry, Peppermint, Spanish Gem and an assortment of others.

Definitely agree with getting the 10g tins. I got a couple of bullets from MrSnuff (they were one of the $1.49 specials, I couldn't resist), and the bullets seem to shoot the snuff strait into my throat. I've found the best way to take snuff, for me at least, is to put it on the webbing between the thumb and first finger as mentioned above.

I've only been snuffing for about a month, I started with a couple of Quit with Snuff bullets, and ordered the 10 tin special from Toque, that's really a great deal. For me snuff dosen't replace snus, but it really is a nice way to round out my tobacco hobby/addiction, that and a nice cigar now and then. I'm starting to branch out to some more difficult snuffs. I have some NTSU and Dholakia Black coming in a trade, and some Dholakia White from MrSnuff along with some smash boxes. It really is a neat way to experience tobacco, but I don't get a lot of nicotine from the ones I've tried thus far.

Get yourself to toques website which you did and order whatever sounds good in 10g tins, I've never gotten a bad snuff from toque. Bullets suck imo. To use it you flip the nozzle upside down and turn the lever you'll figure it out but won't be able to use it without the stuff going to the back of your skull. I've got a dholokia bullet and it's really hard to use. I would say unscrew the bullet pour a small amount onto the back of your hand pinch it inhale as deep as you can, bring snuff to nose and sniff, repeat with other nose. You will sneeze the first few times but just keep at it and start with something easy like Ozona or flavored toque. Toque is harder to use but good imo.

Crazy as it sounds Toque Peanut butter works really nicely (the peanut butter smell dissipates pretty quickly and the grind is a little moister and less sneezey. Let it air out well and age a bit and then mix it.

Also be ready to let the White air for quite some time as well. Every tin I have gotten is pungent with ammonia (very fresh). But once it airs and once you mix it and let the blend sit for a couple of weeks. The flavor of the white will come through and dominate the blend.

Agreed. Try 75% Toque Spanish Gem to a 25% Dhokalia White. I'm currently toying with a 50/50 mix and it's a little too powdery and overpowering yet. Otherwise, I think this combo would = near perfection in a snuff.

Most of the advice you are getting here is good and I have to agree that Bullets are not for beginners, however don't let these old hands steer you toward the toasts or trickier snuffs just yet.

I recommend Peppermint, Chocolate and Vanilla as the smoothest and easiest snuffs to start with.

For beginners try the wet pinch technique as this adds weight and helps keep the snuff in the front of the nose. Lick/wet your finger and thumb take a big pinch, let it warm a little and gently place it, rather than sniff it, on either side of the septum. This method works well for beginners and helps reduce sneezing.

What exactly is the septum? My fingers aren't abnormally big, but the literal sticking snuff in my nose always is a bit messy.

Thanks Snusdog. I've got a 10g tin of Toque Peanut Butter, so I'll give it a shot. I'm glad I picked up some smash boxes, as that will make mixing them a lot easier. Lazer, I haven't tried the spanish Gem yet, I'll have to throw a tin in since I've heard nothing but good things about it.
