that may be the case. I'm pretty sure I'll be a "dual user" for variety. What's funny is when i smoked it was just one brand every day. There's so much variety with snus/snuff i'm set for life..

Yeah and the lime toast is pretty good. I wish I put it in my 10 tin sampler I ordered.

I almost ordered the Lime Toast. But I understand the Whisky & Honey is also a toast, and probably easier for a newbie to take. So assuming I enjoy snuff (and toast snuffs in particular), Lime Toast will probably be on the next order.

@PipenSnus, I saw that you ordered Toque's Bourbon. I never had that one personally, Roderick told me himself that it is very close to the American scotches.

If it's close to American scotch, I'll be a little disappointed. I'm hoping it has a true bourbon flavor. But maybe there isn't a snuff so flavored.

(added later) But perhaps I misunderstood: were you talking about American scotch snuffs, or American scotch whisky? I'm hoping it doesn't taste like American scotch whisky.

'Prepare to be disappointed' is my motto. Touque bourbon is a great meld of the american scotch with a english toast, but it really does not reminisce of actual bourbon in any way. Don't be dissuaded, it is very good. You just might end up really digging it. It is definitely a gateway snuff into the wide and wonderful realm of the American brown (gun)powder.

Pipen, I checked out your order, looks like you got a good variety there.. Let us know how you like it, I'm loving it so far. Snus is great don't get me wrong, but sometimes a nice quick nicotine rush hits the spot, and the snuff delivers!

Yeah, I'm thinking the lack of a quick nicotine rush with snus is the one thing remaining that keeps me reaching for the occasional cigarette. I'm hoping snuff will close that gap so I can finally rid myself of the cigs for good.

I wish the best of luck to you.. I'm fully off cigs but i need an extra sterk (16mg) just to wake up.. A pinch of snuff is what I'll try now. Mixing between the snus and snuff will be a good combo for me. Only time I miss a cig is morning to be honest.

f.b., or anyone else, where the heck can we order American snuff from these days?

Find friends that live in the south eastern US and work out a trade. They can generally find a few brands in local stores. Unfortunately about 1/2 of the available options aren't found that way. I have yet to see a can of Maccoboy in a store. Nicotine Rush and Mr. Snuff were the sources for most of us.

i recently got into snuff. the only problem i'm having is the de-snuffing process.

kind of hard to blow your nose when its dry

Yeah, I'm sure there must be some American snuff available around here. I'm not in a hurry to find it, with 2 orders on the way, but when I do, I'll keep you all updated on what's available in this area.

Saline nasal spray, available at any drugstore. Just pure water and a little salt.
