You don't have to travel to the deep south for American snuff. I live in the suburbs outside of Boston Mass. Besides Poschl and McChrystal's, my local tobacco shop had a few tins of Buttercup and Tops on hand. I am shooting back over there soon to see if I can special order. I want to try some stronger plain scotches like Rooster or Garrett.

I almost ordered the Lime Toast. But I understand the Whisky & Honey is also a toast, and probably easier for a newbie to take. So assuming I enjoy snuff (and toast snuffs in particular), Lime Toast will probably be on the next order.

I have a can of W.E. Garrett & Son sweet mild snuff that I got at the grocery store. Every once in a while I will dip some of it, but yet have sniffed any of it. I am thinking about giving it a go.
