    Indian Snuffs?

I ordered 3 Indian snuffs in my last order and I can't stand any of them

    Rockit - Naked Snuff
    Quit With Snuff Smokers Blend
    Dholakia Black Flip

I find the black flip to be especially terrible. It's like sniffing the smell of blue cheese. It tastes like an old musty basement

Is the tobacco they use in Indian snuff radically different than British snuff or is the the manufacturing process different?

I would say yes, that the Indian made snuffs are different than the UK snuffs, which are different than the German snuffs, which are different than the South African snuffs, which are different than the American snuffs.

Though, apart from the Black, those others are made to the western market, and are pretty well recieved.

I love Indian snuffs, and have been snuffing 5 Photo Super Himalaya almost exclusively the last couple of days.
To the OP, you did not pick good "Indian snuffs". While I like the ones you did pick, I would not recommend them for someone interested in Indian snuffs.

      Go with traditional blends:
      Dholakia Ganga, Manjul, and Kamal.
The Sparrow, and Sparrow Cool are good too, but the above 3, I would call more Indian in style.
And Sun Snuff. I didn't like Rangeeli, but the others are good.
And 5 Photo, all these are great traditional style Indian snuffs.

I think Indian must have the biggest snuff market in the world, with many more I'd like to get and try, but they can be hard to find in the US.
Hopefully more will become available at MrSnuff or somewhere.

Hey Habs, I have some Dholakia Black and it's not for everyone it's very dry unscented and musky at best with a lot of nicotine (great with a cold beer). Tom is the Indian Snuff aficionado and his knowledge base about them is second to none I trust his judgment when it comes to these. The Sparrow Cool Tom recommended is smokey and buttery with a very light menthol cooling effect and a big nicotine hit I enjoy it a lot. Most of the Indian Snuffs seem to come in large portions and some are very highly scented I'm going to wait until I've tasted a few samples from a friend or other resource before I make a purchase.

Not that that there's much of a chance of finding it, unless Dave at Mr. Snuff turns some up, but I can't recommend Sugandhsugar Rose highly enough. Can't say it's at all typically Indian but it is some seriously wonderful stuff.

I think India is the King of Snuff.
So many great quality snuffs, like 6 Photo, Dholakia, Swastik, Sugandhasugar.......
But I really am a light snuffer, and want to lower my collection cosiderably. I am keeping only 3 faves. That will last me my lifetime.
So please check out my Exchange post. I got 12 Indian snuffs offered, plus some extras. It's gonna cost almost $5 just to mail it with a delivery conformation. You just can't beat this deal for variety and cost.

I'd like to mail this out on Friday morning.

The first time i tried dholakia black i nearly threw up due to the nicotine and the smell. Reminded me of the smell a pet shop has thats got loads of reptiles. Kinda like it now though but would re order.
