    Moist Coarsely Ground Snuffs

Any SnusOn snuff users enjoy these types of moist coarsely ground snuffs? If so please elaborate on what you like about them? Would you buy them again?

    WoS - Princes
    WoS - Brunswick
    WoS - Best Dark
Samuel Gawith - Scotch Black or any of their rappee's

I like SG Scotch. I have a tin of SP No. 1 also and I can't tell the difference.

Can't say I've had the others but I do like WoS Tom Buck.

I've learned that the drier and finer the better for me though so I've been sticking to those save the SG...they're certainly drier than when I got them too.

I great course one is Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Brown & SG Macombie. They're dry though.

Do you like F&T snuffs? I would recommend you try Old Paris (one of my favorites) and Santo Domingo.
Bernards makes some great coarse, moister snuffs but the F&T Santo Domingo is the mack-daddy in that department IMO.

Moist snuffs seem to sit more comfortably in my nose. They also seem to retain the scents/flavorings better than dry snuffs.

I received a sample from De Kralingse called Musinotabak. I highly suggest you to try this rather coarse snuff.

          Tasty!

Edit- I'm a fan of the finer snuff.

Moist and coarse, is the S. African snuffs, TAXI, Babaton, Ventors, and NTSU. They are almost dip like.

Well, I enjoy the Brunswick and Best Dark. Because they are course and moist, almost all my snuffs are fine and rather moist. These snuffs are a part of the spectrum and have their place in the line up, just as Old Paris has its place in the F&T line. Princes is too scented for me. They are damn fine moist course snuffs! If you like that kind of snuff, they do belong in a collection, they represent the category well. Just did a bump of both, good to try them again.

The only one I've had is the F&T HDT but I would like to try the Santo Domingo or Old Paris at some point...

I've had the Bernard Feinst delikat, Bernard Aecht Schmalzler, Bernard Alt Offenbacher Kostlich and of course Bernard Brasil Doppelt Fermentiert...

Matter of fact I have 3 unopened tins of "Bernard Brasil Doppelt Fermentiert" of which I would like to trade one or two of them for something if any one is interested...

I bought a Taxi spearmint snuff. It's almost like fine cut dip. Hard to keep the tobacco on the nose because it falls down easily but the taste is very good. It's also Swedsh Match's product.

Taxi sounds like it would burn like crazy does it?

Maybe a little bit but not much. It's very nice snuff. I'll recommend to try. The tins are also similar as swedish snus tins but smaller.

I highly recommend the Santo Domingo. It's moist and coarse, but fairly easy to take. It's not one of their flowery ones, either -- scent is primarily leather, damp earth, and woodsmoke. Yes, there are cedar, sandalwood and violet leaf fragrances in there, too, but they're in the background.

OK let's real this in a bit

If you like moist course SP types-- WoS Best Dark is your deal

If you like moist course Sandalwood-- F&T Santo Domingo

A cross between the perfumed F&T Kendel Brown and Santo Domingo = Old Paris

Course and moist plain snuff = Gawith and Hoggarth Kendal Brown and Molens 1860 (Latakia)

                            Other moist and course snuffs

Molens AO (1860 base with a great forest scent)

Molens Bon Bon (French Chocolate with rose oil) It is not a chocolate snuff but this is the best way i know to describe it in a few word. BTW I hate Rose flavored snuffs but love this

Molens Macuba (Virgina based with Cognac)

Molens Prins Regent (Macuba with Bergamot added)

Bernard Klostermischung (the one with the monk on it)- Fermented tobacco with the smell of Christmas in the Alps
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I can vouch for Molens Bon Bon and Molens Macuba there are no other snuffs that have as "Beautiful" a scent. I think it was last Sunday night the last thing I did was take a pinch of Bon Bon and I swear the next morning I caught just a whiff of it when I woke... Amazing...
