    Daily Go-To Snuff

I am interested to know how your tastes have changed over your snuffing history.

I think a lot of people are similar to me in that they have a daily goto supplemented with a whole variety of snuffs they sniff every once in a while. These 'occasional' are mood dependent; weather dependent; season dependent; food or beverage dependent and so on. But most people have one snuff they take multiple times every day. So the question is what is yours, and how has it changed over the years.

In my case I started on Glestcherprise, and quickly switched to Gawith Apricot. From there I discovered McChrystal's OnG, and that was absolutely my goto for over a year. Then a snuff I previously rejected became my goto: McChrystal's S'nuff. I still love that one, but when FUBAR Grunt came out, that was me, switched again. I could not get enough of that snuff. Until Toque Quit hit the scenes..... and I switched again. Lastly Dholakia White...wow does that satisfy....and that is where I am today.

    How about you?

I'm not a full time snuffer, so "goto snuff" is a bit of a misnomer, but I heavily favor the menthol snuffs. Bernard is my favorite, either Zwiefacher, or Wise'n Prise, and McCrystal's O&G is far and away my favorite English medicated.

Welcome back Dave – I started with Gletscher Prise and Packard's Club from the local Cigar store and then a selection of Toque fruity flavors, Berwick Brown and Lime Toast from online. Then I found the Wilsons line of snuffs and Tom Buck was it for awhile.

Then I got my hands on some Grand Cairo which I have to have every day after my morning taste of CoC but I’ve been mixing it up a lot lately with F&T HDT, Wilsons Lemon Toast, Rum & Raisin, Whisky and McChrystal's Mild Lemon (any time) and some Schmalzler's on the weekends (they are messy).

I would say SP (types) and Toast are my favorites but still need my CoC in the morning to get it all going.

By the way Dave your doing a great job and all of the SunsOn snuff members appreciate your efforts.

I am not an all day snuffer but 7 times out of 10 I'm snuffing Hedges.

I also really like McChrystal's English Menthol, Toque Menthol, FUBAR Grunt and Tube Rose (in that order) and will take them in rotation. I always have some of each on hand and might go batty if I didn't. Kinda like a top five of my snuff likes but number one is no contest.

Lately for some odd reason it has been Toque "Cheese n Bacon".

                Mostly menthols, toasts and scotches.

                Others as a variety.

I'm a menthol-holic, too. I switch between several, but WoS Honey Menthol is my first choice. Toque Menthol (just got a 50g bag today) is looking like a close second.

I enjoy a variety of non-menthols as well.

Toque SP Extra is my go-to snuff on any day. It's what I fill my little wooden snuff box with that I carry with me. After that I use a load of different snuffs, but mostly SP's and toasts.

Weirdly when I started I loved menthols, but more and more I am using them less.. Can't say why, but the other types seem to have taken them over..

Randall, do you buy your Gletscher Prise at a local shop?

I bought it from Northerner pre-pact. I've bought Ozona branded snuff locally, though.

I started with Ozona raspberry. My go to now is Dental Mild Scotch. I still use the whole Poschl line often though.
