I got curious re: Oliver Twists and found out they sell them in town here, so at lunch went over and picked up a couple tins. They are plastic containers about the size of a box of matches. Inside the bits are all in a foil pack that is sealed. The date code on mine are in August. I picked up a can of Tropical which to me tastes like Licorice. I like it. I also got a can of Wintergreen. I don't know about the nicotine hit because I had a large portion in my mouth just before putting it in. But these are very discreet and tasty. Will have to try them when my mouth is fresh. They cost like 4.69 a tin. I also picked up some Stonewall Dry Snuff which looks like a pill. You put it in your mouth I think like a candy and it melts but you don't spit. These are like 2.50 a pack of 20. They don't look like they ever expire. I got one pack of Java and one of Wintergreen. Haven't tried them yet.

I've used Stonewalls quite a bit and I love them. I don't think there is an item with a better cost-to-product ratio that I enjoy more. Tiny, extremely discreet, and not bad flavor. IF your expecting a good tobacco flavor like you get from Oliver Twists or your Snus, you'll be sorely dissapointed, but other than that, I dig them.

My kind of topic! I love both. In fact, soon as I finish typing this, I'm off to the tobacco store to stock up on Stonewall Java (down to the Final Four). I've gotten to the point that I make sure I have one tab almost open when I go to sleep, because the first thing I do after waking up is pop in a Stonewall and head for the coffee maker.
The OTs have real tobacco flavor. I used to use only the "Senior" flavor, which was the highest level of nicotine (8mg) and strongest pure tobacco taste. Then the company got criticised for levels that sounded like college - Freshman to Senior. They dropped all of those, and no longer have the extra-strong bits. "Regular" is the only pure tobacco flavor. I like Tropical fairly well, but the Wintergreen makes me nauseus. It's the only OT I ever threw away in disgust.
Stonewalls are 4mg nicotine but, of course, you could do two of the tiny things at once. It's their taste that I so enjoy. They're also the first thing I do when I finish a meal. It's like a coffee dessert. Pop in a Stonewall and grab a toothpick.
These don't replace daily snus use for me. I just like to mix up the pattern. I find snusing most unlike cigarette smoking, where we found one brand and pledged a lifetime loyalty oath to it. With snusing, enjoying many flavors is just plain fun.
Here's a worry: Star Scientific, maker of Stonewall (and its weak sister, Ariva), just lost a multi-million lawsuit against R.J. Reynolds over patent rights. I hope I don't see a Wall Street Journal article before long about Star Scientific being "restructured" or some such coded crap for Big Trouble.

I've tried the OTs and wasn't impressed. I also tried the stonewall wintergreen and again wasn't impressed. However, since reading Ole Bobs reviiew of the java I'm off to the tobacco store to get some of the stonewall java so I can give it a try. I'm countin on ya Bob aka Master of Nicotine. I'll let you know if they fit my tastes. Thanks for the reference.
PPGrant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Java
Well at lunch I also stopped by Macdonalds and bought one of those new Sugar Free Vanilla Iced Coffees which I love. Now as a result of Bob's and Parrots posts, I popped in one of those Java Stonewalls and it tastes pretty much like the iced coffee! I like it. It says to put it between your cheek and gum, but I just want to suck on this thing like a lemon drop or something.
