I think a stonewall is like a large portion and an oliver twist is like a mini or something like that. Oliver twist delivers 2mg, stonewall 4mg, large portion is 8mg, but don't know how much you actually get delivered. I think a cigarette has 2mg in it, don't know if you get it all or not.

Uh, oh. Back from the store and I find I will soon face the wrath of Premium Parrots.

No instant nic hit with these. Either of them. You can spin quicker with snus, certainly ones like N&J or Skruf. It's the pleasureable taste that my palate likes at times when stronger snus might gag me (early morning, after eating, etc).

I've surely known lots of friends who couldn't take to Stonewall at all. They expected what it doesn't deliver: a quick nic fix. Each Stonewall is the same nicotine as a normal (not light) cigarette, but takes about 45 minutes to dissolve (don't suck 'em!).

You might find a place for them, PP. You might think they're overpriced candy!

I had one idiot at the office take a Stonewall and chew it up and swallow it! He pronounced it "dreadful." Please don't do that

LMAO, no I won't chew it up and swallow it. And if its an overpriced candy then that would be great for me just to use occasionally for something different. I love the coffee and the vanilla flavors in just about anything [waits patiently for starbucks to market their frappaccino by the gallon lol] so I'm really looking forward to trying the stonewall coffee. Sadly I had a client stop by and I didn't get a chance to get some today. BUT I will tomorrow.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

found on the web re: snus and oliver twist

          http://everything2.com/index.pl?node=Oliver%20Twist

          part of the article:
          Alternative to facial disfigurement

The competition to Oliver Twist (and similar leafy tobacco products for oral use), comes mainly from the Swedish tobacco product "snus", which is also used orally. The word "snus" is sometimes translated as "snuff", which is not correct, as snuff is not used orally, but nasally. Snus consists of finely powdered, moist tobacco. The user takes a pinch of it between herhis thumb and index finger and places it between the upper lip and the front maxillary teeth. The snus under the upper front lip makes a visible bulge, thus disfiguring - or sometimes improving - the user's facial features. Also, as the tobacco powder gets wet inside the user's mouth, some of it begins to drool down from the corners of the mouth. Snus-users are thus an easily recognizable lot. Due to the small size of the Oliver Twist pieces and the fact that the original leafy structure of the tobacco-leaf is preserved, these esthetical problems do not appear when using Oliver Twist.

The fly in that ointment is shippping. The Stonewall is $9.99 for a five-pack. The shipping is $9.99!!!

That makes it no cheaper than buying at my local store. Supposedly, Walgreen's has them in many areas. I just use a tobacco store out of loyalty. The Pakistani owner misses my carton-a-week cigarette habit that I've overcome.

All this talk about Ariva and Stonewall has made me curious to try it.....but for some bizarre reason I can't find any internet retailer that sells it.....The official distributor linked to the Ariva website only ships within the US.....

Anyone know where I can get some in the UK / Europe?

Woo! Oliver Twists are all right--I personally like the sunberry flavor (how girly, tee-hee!). I've had problems with the Stonewalls dissolving, though. I've tried both Java and Mint, and though I prefer the Java, I can't stand the fact that they never fully dissolve in my mouth. They just become this big, semi-soft, slimy glob that just sits there getting bitter and driving me nuts. Bleh. Snus is far superior to both of these products
