    Tobacco bits?

I'm new to this site, but I've been a snus user for the past year, and have sampled a great variety of both los and portion snus. (I am a former smoker, and used snus to help quit smoking). I am now loving my snus habit!
While browsing the Northerner's site, I came across "tobacco bits". I've never tried them before. Am I right in assuming they are used just like regular snus?
Has anyone tried tobacco bits? I'm interested in hearing opinions on it. I may throw some into my next order just to try it out.

I've had the Oliver Twist Originals before. When I was still smoking, and before I ever heard of snus, I would get some once in a while to help get through "smoke free environments."

At the time, I didn't think too much of them. I just saw them as better than nothing, and the nicotine hit seemed weak to me. But now that I snus instead of smoke, they may be worth revisiting. The flavor, as I recall, was pretty good.

Not much of an answer I guess, and I don't know anything at all about the Piccanells. Perhaps someone who's tried both can give us some impressions.

I've used them in the past and will include some in my next order. I preferred the Oliver Twist Senior until it was discontinued (it used to say "For Experienced Users Only" on the tin; very strong in nicotine). Now I like the regular OT. They taste of pure tobacco in the regular flavor -- the flavored varieties almost make me ill. Tobacco bits last a long time. They can even be lightly chewed for a few seconds to release more flavor.

Nice break sometimes from other snus products. I've used both OT and Piccanells. Prefer OT for overall quality but surely wouldn't turn away a tin of Piccanells.

Note that guys like extr99 can put one on each side of the mouth to get that knock-me-down, grow-hair-on-my-shoulders nicotine hit. Or just chew a whole bunch of 'em. But one is fine.

I have a whole stash of oliver twists. I like the Tropical. Tropical is Anise flavored. The Sunberry is ok. The wintergreen I grew to like. I even like the originals. Haven't tried Royal but would like to try them. You can get Oliver Twists maybe locally if you call around to tobacco shops.

OT's are very common at just about any tobacco shop in the US. I actually get them at the gas station right by my apartment. They have a big display touting them as something to use when you cant have a cigarette.

I tend to keep a pack of original (deep smoked tobacco flavor with a hint of licorice) and a pack of sunberry (same tobacco taste with an unknown fruity taste). I dont use them often, but I do enjoy popping a couple of them now and again. They keep for an eternity with no need for refridgeration.

I enjoy Oliver Twist regular. It has a full tobacco taste and finishes nicely if you chew the bit and enjoy the juices that are produced. I treat it as a nice alternative to snussing.

I have only tried the Oliver Twist Original, but I really enjoyed them. I actually got my friend hooked on them and he uses them all the time now. I know the Piccanell ones are a little different in size and texture, but not sure what they taste like. I used the Oliver Twist Originals a lot when I run and take showers since its hard to sometimes have a los snus during those activities. Los gets a little too messy sometimes.

Bits are a bit expensive for what you get, but definitely worth it to take a look at them. I probably will not buy them too much because of the price, but I am sure I will get them occasionally. They are very subtle and unnoticeable, but still have a good nic kick too. Hope that helps.

Count me in as a fan too. I only have used the OT, but really like them as an occasional thing. I always keep one open, and will reach for two occasionally as a treat. Just a real intense flavor, and I like having the different sensation in my mouth occasionally.

But I never knew they were so available over here. Good thing to know if I ever run out of snus again. LOL, that ain't gonna ever happen again, I keep so many damn tins in the freezer now. But still a good thing to know
