Grimm & Triepel/Swedish Match Tobacco Cuts

I know these tobaccos are not technically snus, but I thought I'd enquire anyway as to the method used in chewing them.
I'm talking about all the varieties of Grimm and Swedish Match General and Roda Lackett tobacco cuts.
Does one suck on them like Oliver Twist? Or chew them like regular chaw? Also, how long, on average would you keep them in the mouth for?

I use Grimm & Triepel (Kruse No. 5, Hanewacker No. 5, Fischerstift No. 5) for one hour or longer. It's high-nicotine-tobacco, so no need to chew it. You can simply let it sit in the bottom lip and suck on it from time to time or very gently chew it, if you want.
It is the only oral tobacco I know that really acts within seconds. Five seconds till you feel the nicotine. It's kinda smooth though, not the sledgehammer of nicotine you get from a portion of Skruf Stark after 30 minutes.
Besides of that I use it more as a special treat, one or two pieces per day. It's sweet and very tasty. It's a work of high class traditional craftsmanship, but it's also nothing I personally could use all day like snus.
You won't regret to try it. You can never be sure, if you like it personally, but this stuff has been produced in the same way since 1849, so it just cannot be bad.

I've never tried the tobacco cuts by Swedish Match. They just don't appeal to me. But I recommend Piccanell Original, which has some knock-out qualities, regarding the nicotine-delivery. Don't use it while you're working hard, physically. Otherwise, it acts just as smooth and satisfying as Grimm & Triepel, a tad slower maybe.

BTW, one day I also will have to try American chew. I only hear good things about brands like Redman Regular.

    Cheers!

Yeah thanks. Is Grimm a lot stronger than Oliver Twist then? Also I found it to be quite sticky, almost as if it had melted a bit. Is this a feature?
I've got some Redman Regular and am looking forward to trying it. Will report back when I do.

I wouldn't say that G&T is much stronger than OT, maybe a little bit but not much. Both brands are variations of the same theme. This kind of chewing tobacco was very popular throughout Europe, a hundred years ago. G&T is less dry, thereby the nicotine-delivery works better overall.

If G&T it is sticky or not depends to a great extent on the freshness. I can live with it, if I get a package that is not absolutely fresh.

I can only say that I used to be a regular OT user and now I'm using mostly G&T, if I use chewing tobacco. Mostly I use snus though. It's more convenient for me for everyday use.

        Cheers!

Just wondering if I need to spit with the Grimm products, Chainsnuser?

Also, anyone with any experience with the Swedish Match Tobacco Cuts?

I don't. It's a question of the sensitivity of your stomach. Mine is sensitive enough that I feel the tobacco juices (very slightly) but have absolutely no need to spit.

It's the same with the tobacco cuts from what I've read in German forums.

G&T is made from fire cured tobacco. I don't know if it's fermented, but I assume it's not. I have no idea about the tobacco cuts, but since they seem to be not for sale in Sweden, I assume they're also traditionally produced (not according to food standards).

            Cheers!
