Stonewall and Ariva dry tpbacco bits -- any one tried them?

    Hi all,

I saw mention of Stonewall and Ariva on several online boards and I am curious. Any one tried them and care to share his experience?

I've tried the Stonewall pellets before (the higher nicotine version) and they tasted horrendous, had a texture of chewing on chalk, and did not deliver enough nicotine for me. I would recommend staying away from it.

Stonewall is excellent. I had two of them today. You just put them between your cheek and gum like snuff. The Java is really good and the natural is almost just as good. They are inexepensive and very convenient, never go bad!

I like the Stonewalls too, decent flavor, convenient and a discreet little fix. The Arriva's taste OK too but are seriously lacking in nic. I generally use two Stonewalls at a time and always end up chewing them.

The stonewalls are good. Especially if you're trying to get nicotine between orders. The wintergreen and Java are good although the java is a touch sweet. The natural tasted like monkey butt and I had to spit it out after a few min. There is only 4mg nic per "pill" so i use 2-3 of them at a time depending on if i'm really needing some nicotine or not.

I take them and break them up in my mouth (not chewing but breaking them up in to 3-5 pieces each) and put them between the cheek and gum. Breaking them up makes the uptake seem much quicker. They last a long time too.

The only things I don't like about them is at first they are a bit chalky for a couple of min then they turn into a paste after a while.... a lil wierd but they get you through especially if an order is late.

I would and do recommend them to others and I use them pretty frequently. They just take a bit of getting used to like everything else.

I can appreciate finding something to get through the day if you're snused out and your order is taking longer than you thought; and just about anything is better than cigarettes, but these tobacco bits sound nasty! Now, I realize that I'm not really in a position to say that they're good or bad, but for me, tobacco is all about enjoyment. This sounds like a poor imitation of Oliver Twists, which by the way are available at most tobacco shops. I guess I'd have to try these things before truly passing judgment, but the descriptions you all just gave don't give me high hopes...

These are nothing like Oliver Twists, these are dried Snuff formed into a large pill. They're more candylike than OT's and make a great little substitute for Snus.

I love Stonewall Java. I order in bulk, 100 at a time, online and would never leave home without a pack in my pocket. They alternate with snus throughout the day and I non-stop smoke an electronic cigarette the entire time.

I also puff one cigar a day and four pipefuls of tobacco, but I couldn't do without Stonewall. A Stonewall Java bit has replaced the after-dinner cigarette as nothing else can. It's often followed immediately by pipe of Whisky Biscuit Gravy or Shortcut to Mushrooms.

These are pure nicotine candy and the Wintergreen is a virtual breath mint with nicotine. They're nothing like Oliver Twist, which I also love, but has become too expensive to use at the rate I use them. FYI: NEVER chew on a Stonewall. That's not how they're used!

Stonewall, by the way, is extremely low in TSNAs. This kick won't kill. Highly recommended.

Go ahead and give em a try.. you might find them pretty handy sometime. I'm not giving a raving review cause I don't want to blow sunshine up anyones rear.. but they are good and inexpensive, about $2.60 for a pack of 20.

Hahaha sup Bob! Fellow snusers, I've seen this guy on other sights and his nicotine usage is mind boggling to me. I don't see how u do it Bob. Anyway yeah, I switched to Stonewall Java because of the virtually non existant TSNA's and the high nic levels. I can use them and not have to worry about cancer from smokes and pickle lip, muddy grin with snus but I have a question for you regarding the potentcy of the Java's. If anyone knows...I'm sure you would. I understand that each pill is 4 milligrams of nicotine. But is that the absorbed or do you get a smaller percentage of that?

By the way...did u see the way I spelled 'site'? Kind of sad and pathetic isn't it? I bet Bob took his e-cig out mid drag and laughed and then shook his head. Haha oh well Bob. Nevermind that.

Yes. Stonewall Java is a very good tobacco product. Taste like Starbucks coffee and if you pay attention you can taste the tobacco too which tastes very clean and uhh...I don't know how to put this but really refined. Not refined as in processed just like...pure....with no contaiminating constitutes of irritating TSNA's. I like it better than snus in fact. Far cheaper, safer and bigger nic fix. Try it. You get 100 pills for about 12 dollars. Can't beat it.

Wow, sounds like maybe I jumped the gun a little bit on the 'bacco bits! I checked out the website (which is dissolvabletobacco.com), and the website seemed a little too slick, if you know what I mean. However, I see now that they're nothing like OTs. These are more like...I don't know, if I had to choose something I'd say commit lozenges, but commit aren't powder, and taste like Brian Urlacher's asshole after the game. (Don't ask how I know that.)

I've heard rumors that they're sponsoring Lindsay Lohan to carry around the Ariva varieties. I guess they're trying to get a little publicity. If they're as cheap as you all say they are, I might run up to the RiteAid up the road and check them out.

I didn't want to come across as The Ultimate Nicotine Addict. Sorry if I did. I just enjoy a wide choice of nicotine products to keep any craving for cigarettes in check. I've been off cigs for 14 months -- and it's still difficult to wake up each morning and not have one. I reach for a Stonewall instead, then grab the e-cig.

What I try to do with various nicotine delivery methods is to steady my blood nicotine level. Normal smoking creates spikes and dips in blood nicotine; in a dip, a craving urges a smoke. I try to avoid those lows by non-stop use of something. Snus are extremely important -- but I can overdose on high nic snus, since I will use them even while puffing a pipe, so I use them sparingly.

Those who rely only on snus to stay off cigs obviously will need higher nic brands. Use what you enjoy and need. I never want to put down anyone's personal choice, since we all have different needs and tastes.

Bottom line: I'm glad I found Stonewall Jave; it's not for everyone; it might take some "getting used to", much as some snus do for me.
