    "60 Minutes" Snus on TV

“60 Minutes” is doing a piece this evening on snus and what's more you can add comments uncensored on WOW. I even got an image of a Toque Quit tin as my avatar and they let it go.

    I put:

"I will be very interested to see whether 60 minutes will be impartial in its coverage of this story.

The Royal College of Physicians in London said, in their 2007 tobacco report, that if all the smokers in the UK switched to snuff we would save 100,000 lives per year."

It comes on at 6pm here, central time, I'll be watching. I don't have too much faith that the report will be overall positive, but maybe I will be surprised.

I like this comment that was made on that page

      - check out THIS link. The REASON the anti-smoking cartel is upset about SNUS is because it cuts into THEIR addictive nicotine (replacement). Read what these users of Nicorette say about the gum. http://www.askapatient.com/viewratin...CORETTE&page=1 The addiction to the gum is HORRIBLE!! The side effects, worse.

Here's what else is crystal clear. Smoking bans were forced upon smokers. Why? Because the anti-smoking cartel said it was bad for OTHER people. Well, SNUS had nothing to do with "other people". Yet, they complain. Again, because it takes away from THEIR sales. Did you know that Nicoderm sold 1,000,000 pkgs of their product in January, 2008?

Did you know that this study found 80% of the time, minors were able to purchase NRT WITHOUT showing ID? http://news.bio-medicine.org/medicin...oducts-3997-1/

Did you know that the gum and lozenges cause oral cancer? http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/lif...SS&attr=797084

Finally, ever wonder why the anti-smoking cartel gets upset with big tobacco claiming it makes "candy" flavored cigarettes? Have you ever seen a Nicorette ad? "Minty fresh with teeth whiteners", "Cinnamon Burst", etc. THEY can advertise candy flavors for THEIR form of nicotine but no one else can? How about Nicorette sponsoring a NASCAR driver?

      The hypocrisy makes me choke.

To top it off, I have never found the NRT's to be very effective. They work for a few days but you always feel like your missing something. Maybe they just don't have that "enjoyment factor" that plain old tobacco has.

I bet he's on a list somewhere with big pharma. hahaaa

It amazes me every day how VERY little most people EVER think for themselves.
