    Oliver Twist - impressions

With my last order from buysnus, I bought a tin (micro-tin?) of Oliver Twist Original to try out. I didn't know what to expect, but when I bit into my first twist, I thought "American chew", but I quickly got to like it. The flavour is not unlike Redman chew, but not so cloying in the sugar. I'm impressed by the flavour and the length it lasts in the mouth. I think it's alright to park the tobacco under your lip, but this is a tobacco that can be moved around the mouth and even chewed and sucked on. I'd say that a piece of twist can outlast a portion.

Does anyone know the nicotine levels in Oliver Twist?

OT has dropped the graduated amounts it had when I started. The products now all advertise 5.5 mg of nicotine per piece. I miss the super-strong Senior.

I love OT orignal. I tried them all and really only like the original. I don't the mints and the otheres are over flavored. If I want a good better kick off of it I do 2 at once. You can move them anywhee in you mouth. Dont chew on it until the outer flavor is gone. After that squeeze the bit between the back teeth for a while to get out the inner flavor, Then when that is gone chew it lightly. its a greate product.

If you like small and potent, try Wise original 6mg nicotine (not the 3mg) from Northerner. Between I use OT and Wise at work for the most part, esp. at meetings. We have a no tobacco use at my place of work, so I have to be on the sly.

One other thing, you probably will never have to worry about them dropping the Original flavor. Its thier number one seller and they been around forever. Now days Snus companies seem to drop brands right and left.

I always keep a pack of OT Originals around since I found them. Seems they can be had from just about any US tobacco shop. Interesting you compare them to redman. In my very first post that I made after I bought some, I compared them to the old rope-style tobacco (which i believe was redman iirc). Also interesting that redman is made by swedisn match (though OT's are not).

Thanks, Razor for the tip on using twist. I'm really enjoying them, and I've just ordered two more tins along with some portions. I may yet order a roll!
