      Venezuela doesn't really have a working postal system. They can send things back up here through fedx (passing through a private courrier to Caracas who sticks it in a Fedex envelope) but costs way too much to be worthwhile. I think I'll have to wait till I'm down there.

      I was actually offered some a few years back on an earlier trip but I didn't use tobacco at that time and so I didn't try it. I think the guy offering it was more interested in watching me puke than expanding my horizons though.

              I'm not interested in going through all of the legal hoops to sell tobacco in the US. If the stuff looks worthwhile I'll bring some back and may put it on the exchange thread so that those interested can try it.

                  Hi! I'm from Venezuela; searching info about chimó i got here. The yellow chimó can is from a very popular brand: El tigrito (the little tiger), it says things like "tough and tasty", "tradition and quality" and contains about 0,5 oz. The Tootsie chimos (hahahahaha very funny by the way XD) is less popular and closer to the homemades presentations. Actually you don't get drunk but yo do may feel strong nausea; its very cheap, and effectively is more popular in the andean states. The recipe tend to vary from state to state but the original one included salt from a salty lake in the mountains of Mérida state. Maybe you haven't found any seller 'cause its very autoctonous product (more than I though), even here is relatively unknown in several parts of Vzla.

                          Yes, any type of tobacco that uses a tiger for its label must be good.

                            it can make you run fast....
                            The hope is the running is not to the nearest restroom.

                              Hi to every one.

                              I have a contact in Venezuela and send me chimo of several brands:

                              San Carlenio.

                              El recio apurenio.

                              ]

                              El gran Bufalo.

                              Tigrito ICE, the best for me:

                              I like chimo, is more palatable than tobacco powder and It calms better the craving for smoking than chewing tobacco.
