I know, a lot of latakia blends, but I love the creamy texture of the smoke.

@Ansel - I have yet to try Billy Budd, but I have a tin aging in the cellar and I'm very tempted to crack it open shortly. The cigar leaf blends intrigue me.

@Spirit72 - If you haven't found them already, http://www.smokersforums.co.uk and http://www.tobaccoreviews.com are great resources.

When I smoked a pipe I was a big fan of Dunhill.

        1. Early Morning Pipe.
        2. Mixture 965.
        3. Elizabethian Mixture.
        4. Nightcap.
        5. Presbyterian Mixture.

Presbyterian mixture may not have been a Dunhill blend but it was damn good stuff.

Nice to have some pipesmokers here!
From time to time i`m building a few pipes, pipemaking is a kind of meditation for me, just me and a piece of bruyere which tells me its secret. After a few hours it maybe looks like this:

                        1.) Bobs Chocolate flake
                        2.) Macbarrens Honey Chocolate (tinned)
                        3.) Peter Stockebyes Nouget
4.) Carter Hall (a good mixer)
5.) Black Gold (Hiland Tobaccos black gold is what I have had. I think it's an exclusive blend only they have)

I'm in the process of trying others as time permits. Just getting back into piping and snusing after a long hiatis. Relearning to smoke slow and enjoy. I find slowing down my puffing avoids or greatly reduces tongue bite while increasing tobacco enjoyment.

Haven't had a pipe for about a month - but there's no doubt I love the craft in the tobacco:

                          My favourites are:

                          1. Dunhill Early Morning Pipe
                          2. Rattrays Red Raparee
                          3. Dunhill flake
                          4. Germain's Plum Cake
                          5. Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture

Basically - I love Dunhills - but the new ones aren't like the old ones were unfortunately

Just got a tin of Cornell & Diehl Burley Flake #4 and really enjoyed my first bowl of it. The aroma from the tin was very nice, sort of like fruit cake. A blend of dark and light burleys with some red virginia and a splash of latakia. My first bowl was in a cob. It lit easily and burned well. The flakes are nice and tender and break apart easily for loading in the pipe. After I was halfway into the bowl there was a noticable nic buzz going on, which was really nice. I generally find regular burley blended into a mix a little harsh, but enjoyable. As a flake it seemed more mellow, nutty and very, very tasty. The latakia was not overwhelming at all and complimented the burley and virginia nicely. I'd reccommend smoking it SLOWLY for max enjoyment. And if your looking for a nice nic buzz you'll really enjoy. After the first bowl I snused a little Camel Robust and was good for quite a while. Next bowl will be in my Savenelli. The vaccuum sealed tin I got was dated 6/21/2010, so the flake had a couple years to mature. It was an enjoyable smoke.
