HOOKAH ANYONE??

Hookah's great. I've had a few and my favorite was always double apple tobacco. Takes skill to make a good hookah, something I'm glad I practiced. I remember hookah dome in Black Rock City, anyone else?

Apparently, hookah has zero tar, but has small levels of nicotine. However, I would be hesitant to use it often, since I coughed my lungs out after taking a single hit several months ago. If you smoke hookah in moderation, I'm sure it won't harm you too much. However, inhaling any kind of tobacco smoke/vapor will be harmful when used in excess.

I don't understand how I could smoke 2 packs a day no problem, and yet be fairly sensitive to almost every other method of tobacco consumption. I think in the case of the hookah incident, I figured that since I was such a veteran smoker, I could drag as hard on it as I wanted. So whats this "buzz" that I get from smoking the hooka? If there is very little nic in the tobacco, what the buzz from? Is it my imagination? I'm not getting sick........its simply kind of a head buzz. kinda nice........

its from the nic lol because you you smoke it longer than you would a cigg...but its more mellow because of the lower nic content..

Hookah's a tasty way to smoke for sure but it makes my lungs feel like I chain smoked all day long. This and the fact that I needed a snus before I was through, I don't think I'll be using this thing much. I do like all the flavors though but if I'm gonna expose my lungs to smoke, I need a good bit of nicotine to justify it and this doesn't do the trick for me.

The zero tar myth is funny though and shows how easily rumors start. This one was actually started by the fact that the tobacco tin contains no tar as is, meaning not yet burnt. Of course there's tar created when you smoke it, just not when you buy it, yet.

I have smoked hookah in 1 year. but right now i have a break.
i would like to say. yea there is tar in the tobacco when it burns.
but its almost impossble to get adicted. And if we say in shisha is 0.05 gram nic in each gram and in a normaly bowl can hold about 10grams
+- thats the same amount like in a light cigaret.
But the most normal brand of shisha is Nakhla and contains 0.5 gram nic each gram! and thats insane. when i smoke it i get the biggest buzz ever and then i get headech the rest of the day.

Do you realize you're saying 500mg of nicotine per gram or 1/2 of the total sum is nicotine? That's impossible for one and lethal simply to touch, forget about even smoking it. This would be a funny rumor if it weren't so out there, but I guess you're kidding anyhow....right? :?

technically it doesnt burn...its just heated up to the point of smoking...atleast the way ive done it...i always put aluminum fuel over the bowl and put a couple holes in it with a toothpick then put the coals on top...plus its filtered through water...

OK, so it doesn't burn? I do it the same way and end up with ashes in the bowl after inhaling profuse clouds of smoke. Is it not smoke and why the ashes, seriously? What am I missing here texasmade?

i should rephrase that...it doesnt burn as in its aflame or lit like a cigarette
its more like a slow smoldering or charring...both burn(in different ways)
once i started using hookah i stopped smoking..and didnt use hookah that often either..some say its safer others don't...imo it is because its not full of fillers like cig tobacco and its filtered through water...not paper cylinders with holes going through it

I don't know if it's less hazardous or not but it's definitely a great tasting way to smoke. I just can't do it much because it makes my lungs feel like they've been coated with something when I'm done, maybe it's the PG?

I've read all types of conflicting reports on their comparison to cigarettes and until they're tested legitimately who's to say what's correct. I was just saying I don't get much nicotine from it and also that I highly doubt they're tar-free. Since they're relatively new and untested there's all kinds of rumors floating around, mostly by either antis, who can't be trusted, and by users with just anecdotal info and rumors.

Im glad I bought one though and plan to use it on occasion, at least till I run out of the stash of shisha I blindly bought in a newbie spree, and some I got for free.
