Kinda both, mostly, unrealted.
I need to lay off the herb, about to get into job search mode, so need to be clean just "in case"
I largely stopped using the Genie about a month ago. Every blue moon still, but back to using my pipe.
Really, just need a freaking tolerance break, so job search is kinda useful to help ensure it.

Just a pipe fact
There was a study done in england that pipesmokers outlived nonsmokers. Relaxation? I know of three people who lived in a smoke free house who did not smoke who died of lung cancer between forty and fifty five years. This is not telling anybody to smoke I quit except the pipe. I think it is the only real way to taste tobacco (smoked) I dont know what causes lung cancer. If I did my brother, fifty five, would still be here.
Enjoy whatever you do. Life is too short anyway.

Thanks to two suggestions I picked up Frog Morton on the Town, and GL Pease Haddo's Delight. And Mike was kind enough to send me some samples, Balkan Supreme and Full Virginia something...can't read the handwriting.

I dug out my pipe the other day, because I finally bought a small pouch of tobacco. It's Affinity from Iwan Ries in Chicago. It's a nice, fairly mild non-aromatic, although I've only had a few puffs last night and this evening, so I can't begin to describe it yet.
My very first order of Swedish Snus was from Iwan Ries, because for whatever reason I wasn't sure about ordering from overseas, and even though I'd been prowling SnusOn I'd missed any references to Getsnus, or maybe I didn't realize they were stateside. Probably just a case of too much information at once, not to mention a lot of crazy stuff going on in my life.
Things have changed for sure; I like Buysnus and Northerner very much, and Getsnus as well. But the other day, just to be a sport, I decided to buy a little more General from IR; a can each of los, op, and white.
While looking around I impulsively decided to try a random pipe tobacco, and the name "Affinity" grabbed me. (It also happened to be a non-aromatic, which is what I wanted.) I also picked up a neat little pipe tool and a bottle of pipe sweetener.
It's the cool weather getting to me. Sitting around with a pipe when it's nipply is a real pleasure. Plus I've spent some time over the years learning how to properly pack a pipe and keep it drawing without blistering my tongue (usually, so I might as well put my skills, such as they are, to use.
I'll post back on what I think about this tobacco once I decide. That will take several bowls, so it will be a while, but I am in no hurry, as it should be when it comes to the pipe.
