    Corn cob

Just picked up a $5 corn cob pipe, the last one on the shelf at Walgreens, it's been sitting there for months, they had about 6 of them up since last year, slow moving product.

I took it home and realized that the stem was protruding across the bottom of the bowl.

Dremel and a drill bit cut it out, pleasant smoke for sure, but it seemed to burn hotter than my Doc Grabow, probably me under packing it.

should've left the stem.. cobs are the best smoke there is, bar non... dry and cool, downside is they only last a year or so.

upside is, for $5, who cares if they only last a year or so, especially since they don't require a break-in period, and you can abuse the hell out of them.

It was supposed to have the stem running across the bottom of the bowl?!

the stem juts out a bit, yes.. and it varies.

don't trim it down tho, it works well.

              cobs

You can smoke it with the piece across the bottom. There are some cobs (the general, freehand) they come with a wooden plug in the bottom. they will not burn out

I just ordered a couple of Maple Wood pipes... might get a Cherry Wood one too. Just as cheap as the Corn Cobs.
