    question about electronic cigarettes

okay so with electronic cigarettes you inhale the vapour into your lungs. and with real tobacco in a pipe you generally just inhale in your mouth/throat. well, with an electronic pipe do you inhale it into your lungs or just in your thoat/mouth? and if you do just inhale it into your throat/mouth is the nicotine strength more in the e-pipe?

    thanks.

both the smoke and the vapor from e-cig/normal cigarettes go into the lungs

once you inhale the smoke in your throat it goes all the way to the lungs and back out.

never smoked e-pipe, but the e-cigs don't do the trick.

i want to know if i can occassionally use an electronic device to inhale a very strong amount of nicotine only into my mouth/throat (strong so there's no need for the vapour to go into my lungs)

ansel that's impossible with an electronic device, that usually is an e-cig or e-pipe. You could of course just puff the smoke in your oral cavity and avoid inhaling into your lungs. (I don't believe that would give you that much nicotine tho)

you could maybe try lozenges (strong ones, or nicotine sprays)

I've tried a few e-cigs so far, none of them taste like real "smoke", the flavor is more like a hookah and damn those e-cigs give me insane headaches and hurt my throat.

You can do both... inhale or just roll it around in your mouth. Depends on the amount of nic that is in you your juice. Sometimes I use zero nic just for the flavor of the juice. Bottom line, vapor does not contain the thousands of chemicals that normal smoke does. I think I still get a better buzz from snus (although be it slower)... for a super quick nic hit, it's nasal snuff... for me, the e-cigs mimic the "hand to mouth thing" and although you are still getting nic, it's not the same type of nic that you get with snus and/or nasal snuff. For me, the e-cig stuff is a hobby... snus and nasal snuff is an addiction!

Cool, so you could use real tobacco alkaloid nicotine (not just pure nicotine) at high strength (like rustica) and vape it without taking it into your lungs?

For me, snus is a great hobby. E-cigs aggravate my asthma, but each to their own.

Yep... it absorbs through your cheeks and gums; however, I don't know how much or how fast it will absorb though. I'm surprised that you know about the real tobacco alkaloid nicotine juice! You must be doing some research.

Ansel, pro tip: exhale the vapour through your nose as well as your mouth, there are membranes in the nasal passages that absorb the nicotine.

I was a hard core cigarette smoker for 30+ years. Snus was the only thing that got me off the damn things. Now I'm able to breath and taste normally! For me, snus has been a miracle!

Hey Vulpes. This is why i am am looking to vape like a pipe ie. not take it into my lungs - which i'm assuming would mean you'd need stronger nic.

Well i've seen people on YouTube putting whole tobacco leaf in a vaporizer usually used for cannabis...

...but i'd be worried about taking it (whole leaf tobacco) down into my lungs.

Ansel, do you use nasal snuff? That stuff gives me one hell of a nic kick! Depends on the brand though.
