U.S. sellers might make a buck or two on such low priced stuff but they're bound to be selling this sort of thing as loss leaders to get folks interested. Good strategy but ordering from Fasttech won't be depriving U.S. resellers very much in the way of profits. Fortunately virtually all of the premium juice lines are mixed in the U.S. and I suspect that is where most vendors are making their real money.

About the only pieces of hardware that aren't made in China are some of the high end mods and esoteric accessories. I have run across some very nice made-in-the-U.S. reasonably priced stuff like the Texas Tuff Tanks, the IBTanked series, a veritable blizzard of wild and crazy drip tips, and a polyglot legion of "box mods" but otherwise U.S. made gear is characterized by its very high prices. The correct spelling of the leader of this pack should be $$Provari$$.

Does all this mean PP is going to do a group purchase co-op for all interested?

Just ran across this at the Smoke Revolt site:

        http://www.smokerevolt.com/18650-XL-...od-_p_443.html

Not flashy but it doesn't get much simpler than this and for a mod the power/price ratio can't be beat. Has an un-shrouded 510/eGo threading which means infinite choice in what goes on top. Use a protected 18650 and you're good to go. It even has an 18350 little brother for only 15 bucks.

WOAHA!!!! I got those cheapie kits today. Incredible...just incredible. This is the first kit anyone interested in ecigs should pick up. The 650 mAh battery is super short at 2 3/8" exactly and its exactly the same diameter as a clearomizer. The variable volt feature works like a charm. This is exactly what I was looking for. Short and sweet for stealth use or for on the go.

I get a great hit from the clearomizer that it comes with this kit but this one is disposible so I'll be putting it aside for now because I got my bunch of Iclears today as well. Personally I can't tell much of a difference between the Iclear and the cheapies.

I highly recommend this lil VV kit.

Yeah it would be a fine thing indeed if those were racked up in convenience stores over a modest juice display. It would get folks into real vaping much quicker, make the initial experience much more effective/positive, and smartly bypass the over hyped cigalike merry-go-round.

The battery is killer and I'm testing the power as I type. I'll let you know in a few days.

The clearomizer portion is disposible.....at least I can't get it apart atm. This clearomizer is also about 1/4" shorter than an Iclear 16. I can't see much of a difference in quality except that the Iclear is dual coil and a bit bigger. This cheapie does have 4 long wicks [thin ones tho].

I may just sell the Itaste VV kit I have [I think I already have a buyer at the same price I paid]. I'm not sure I can appreciate the Itaste VV at this point in my ecig experiance. I do know that a variable voltage model is a must have for my tastes. These lil kits will do me and the wife just fine cuz we are not useing ecigs to replace smoking....or snus. A few puffs throughout the day but mostly evening use. Hell they are cheap enough to keep one in each vehicle as well.

And Darwin is 100% correct. this gives a newbie the actual experiance of a big boy ecig. The preformance beats the hell out of those cigarette looking ones. Its small lenght fits so nice in my hand and I can easily conceal it for stealth puffin.

what size battery did you get. Did you find one with VV?

PP you might just miss the more advanced VV capabilities of the Inokin so don't be in too big a rush to get rid of it. The eGo style variable voltage setup is much more rudimentary and less flexible. The clearomizers that came with the blister pack units, they look like CE4 types, are indeed disposable, and they may last from several days to several weeks or maybe even longer with your light usage. Since your Iclear 16s are working well for you for sure try them on the little batteries. Depending on the resistance they should work just as well and they are not disposable so should last a longish while with occasional coil/wick replacements. If the Iclears don't seem to work as well with the small batteries then you might want to try a lower resistance head although that will shorten battery life a bit.

My shipping said 6 to 9 days. I'm getting into the mini eGo type batteries. Just got two 650mAh... with small carto's, they fit in my shirt pocket right next to my snus tin. These things are 3.4 to 4 inches tall... and that's with the carto attached! Today was the first day I carried a tin of General, my nasal snuff and an eCig in my shirt pocket. I'm into full rotation mode... snus, then a pinch and one or two hits off the eCig. Right now I'm trying to figure out flavor combos to carry. Today was a all menthol day... this is going to be interesting if it does not kill me

Yea they are C4s and there is no way to take them apart without breaking them. I tried one and it works great. I do see a small difference [better] when I use the Iclear 16s with that small battery. ATM it seems thats all I need. There is a shortage of the Itaste VVs right now and I have 2 friends that want both the Itaste VV and the cheapo kits each. So I just might part with my Itaste VV for the time being. I'm THAT impressed with my $15 investment.....useing it with the Iclear 16s.

My final decision will depend upon the battery life of this lil 650 mAh battery.

I am willing to admit that I may not be experianced enough atm to notice a difference between the cheapo battery and the Itaste VV battery. As long as I can change the voltage it works good for me. Are there any other reasons to keep the Itaste other than a bit more battery life?

Aside from the fact that the Inokin will probably have a longer service life than the small ego batts there aren't any particularly pressing reasons to keep it I suppose. The little ones are obviously cheap to replace.
