I'm not sure that hydrogen peroxide would work any better than plain water on juice residue. Alchohol is best natch. Unless you have big globs of juice running down the sides of your battery just get a Q-tip or a piece of paper towel in there, soak up as much as you can, and call it good. Wash or alchohol your hands though. You will seriously regret getting even a teensy bit of juice in your eyes.

Thanks guays I used the qtip straight and cleaned off a bunch of gunk. It helped a bit but both the battery and clearos are driving me nuts today so maybe its in my head at this point.

Just an update I'm completely done with these friggin CE6 (probably just a CE4+) clearomizers. All 3 of mine are leaking one is completely burned out, the center silcone head thing doesn't stay straight anymore on any of them no matter what I do. One of them tastes great for 4-5 puffs then I have to open the mouth piece because there is too much vapor built up in the head that is causing it to taste burnt. After I do that it tastes great again for 4-5 puffs until I vent it myself again lol. I ordered the EVODs from fasttech and if they end up being crap I think I'll just have to go with some genuine american stuff because $1.75 a piece or not this isn't worth it. Back to just snus for me until the EVODs come in.

Ive heard that about fastech knock off clearos a few times. Too bad but I hate all clearos....unless Protank is one. It I mainly tolerate since its so darn noisey on the first draw I stop hitting in shock and almost drop it! I've been doing a rotation of quite a few different devices and delivery styles though and decided to accept less than stellar performance re vaping from now on. It just isn't a consistent world.

I've been using the Iclear 16 clearomizers as well as the cheapos from FT shown here
                https://www.fasttech.com/products/1355000

funny enough I don't notice a difference. They both work and taste great for me, tho the Iclears are dual head and the other is single. Paco you have to remember that they do burn out every once in a while. The Iclears 16s are easy to fix by replacing the coil heads the others are so cheap I don't feel bad tossing them out. Neither of those last very long. I think I learned somewhere that they are supposed to last only a few weeks anyway.

If you match up the cheapos in the link above with this battery you have a cheap small ecig that works great.
http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/e-cig...k-starter-kit/ or this one from china http://www.ecigarettechina.com/bests...b-charger.html
Both are variable voltage batteries that are quite small and easily fit in my pocket without worrying about them breaking when I sit down.

You can get those kits with 1100mah batteries [same price as the 650 kits] as well. I have a few of them and am quite happy with the results

PP I have 2 of the cheapo Variable Voltage batteries from Fast Tech and I am happy with them and they are built well enough. I may go the route of getting a passthrough so I can vape not stop without charging and have true variable voltage without a drop off but the batteries aren't the issue. My clearos are just like cheap ones you bought but you can change the head which is cool and wouldn't be a problem if everything else worked right but they are leaking and just F*ing up in every aspect. I did buy a few replacement heads from FT with my EVOD order for them to use for backups and will only use them if I run out of heads for the EVOD or the EVODs are even worse. If they suck the next route is Vivi Nova. I've only had the cheapos for 2 weeks and have used all 3 in rotation vaping less than 1ML a day so they shouldn't really be dead already but like I said even if the heads were burnt I could deal with that but there really isn't a help for the other 2 issues I have with them other then chucking them. My cousin bought some Iclear 16s at the local store and they seem good enough but I'm checking out the EVODs and Novas first will report back my results.

I'm thinking Dear Fay uses a funnel and a blow torch to get her daily allowance of nicotine.

Paco I have been thinking of trying other vessels as well. But I don't think there is a perfect system invented yet. Seems like they all have some kind of problem. I've settled into the Iclears and the cheap ones in the link. I don't mind tossing out the cheap ones when they only cost $1.27 each. I've learned that any wick system can wear out in time. Be prepared to toss them out at the first sign of yucky taste. Its just not worth the time and trouble to diagnose the problem and try to correct it.....cuz it probably can't be fixed....unless you are into recoiling/rewicking....and then again that takes time as well.

Heres a tip I learned the hard way. If your clearomizer starts to taste burnt/bad do not pour the juice back into the bottle with the good stuff. It will contaminate the good juice. If you need to save money I suggest you pour any bad juice into a separate bottle and when you get enough stashed try mixing a strong sweet juice with it to make it useable.

Also, when you fill a new clearo put the voltage on low for the first few puffs until the wicks get fully absorbed with ejuice.

                      Hope this helps.

When I feel the need coming on for cleaning a device I have taken to just dumping out whatever juice remains which is usually the merest trickle. I've gone through the process a couple dozen times now and if I've "wasted" more than 4 or 5 ml of juice in total I'd be surprised. And PP is right that it's usually pretty funky stuff anyway so attempting to save it is going to be basically pointless.

Ya the times I have noticed a funky taste the liquid was close to being down to the bottom so I did not save it, it just went down the drain. Good tips PP thanks.

Just a quick update on my clearomizer situation. Got my EVODs in from Fasttech today and they are simply awesome. Tried all 5 and one seems to be a little funky but I for $2.50 a pop oh well and I do have replacement heads so maybe the head was just a dud and I'll replace it. The other 4 are simply AWESOME. NO leaking yet although it's early I can't imagine how they would leak from the top but more importantly the taste on the 4 is amazing. It even makes the crappy China Juice I had taste like something. As for using them with Mt. Baker juice, holy crap it's good! You can taste every aspect of the juice that I never got with the CE6's. Plus they are 2ohms so I can actually use the different settings on my ego VV instead of just keeping it at the highest voltage. One juice I have at 3.2, one at 3.7, and the china juice I had at 4.2 to really get the flavor out of it. Although it is probably more like 4.0 because the voltage drops off quick on the battery but who cares they all taste like I'm actually vaping something now. Very happy so far.

That's great Paco. A friend came over the other day with a new protank. It was pretty dam good. The next day I ordered 3 of the soon to be released Kanger Mini Protanks IIs and some replacement coils. So I have totally changed my opinion on the clearomizers at this point. I'll be using my Iclears but mostly the protanks in the future. The cheapo clearos will be used up and eventually tossed out and never used again once these are gone.

I tasted a marked improvement with the protank over the clearos and will only go back in an emergency situation. As soon as any of the chineze vendors come up with a decent price mulit- pack of the Mini protank IIs I will be stocking up.

Ya the protank II's are very intriguing. Might be a while until FT or whoever makes clones or stocks authentics but they do seem pretty awesome. The cheapo CE4s, 4+, 6s etc seemed like a great idea to start out with but for a few bucks more its not really worth the hassle as we both found out. My cousin has been using the Iclear16s since I started him out because the local store sold him on them and the are pretty good and much better quality then the cheapos as you know but the taste isn't nearly as good as my EVODs and as you have found out the Protanks (which are both Kanger products although my EVODs may just be clones). The Iclear 30 is a beast and tastes much better then the 16 as I was able to sample it the other day but if I am going to upgrade to something like that there are better options like the protank in my opinion. I can't believe how many hours I've actually spent researching this stuff LOL. Can't wait until Wizard Labs gets their act together so I can try DIY which took up the majority of my research hours.
