I wish there was some kind of credible study out there to read rather than a load of people just giving their opinion on various forums ... but I haven't found the net very useful in enlightening me as to which chemicals are released at different temperatures when vaping tobacco directly. I'd have expected something given that the Pax Ploom has been out there more than a year - and it's advertised as only being for using with tobacco (although I'm sure they're not stupid as to what it actually probably gets used for the majority of the times )
Yes, was definitely different than anything I have tried since quitting. The snus is still definitely the most satisfying on a consistent basis. Most days I am just fine with only that. Even the e-cig, I have not touched now in weeks even since discovering and liking the Aroma juice a lot. I just never seem to bother with it. But every once in a while, at home, snus just doesn't do it, and I fight a craving there is no satisfaction for. I think, for me, that is where vaping tobacco comes in. It is VERY strong, so I can't see myself doing it on a daily consistent level. But knowing it will knock my socks off and deliver that nicotine, I see it as being my once or twice a week fix. I remember trying a pipe when I first quit, hoping to like it so once or twice a week I could still smoke something and enjoy it, but I hated it. But I can see this being that something I can enjoy on occasion and actually get satisfaction. Oh Yea, and my wife says to her, vaping the organic American Spirit tobacco tasted exactly like unsweeted iced tea.

But I guess, like cigs, it must be healthier than smoking it I guess.
That is why I will never vape, or vape tobacco, I don't miss the throat hit in any shape for form.

Also IIRC cigarette tobacco has more nasty chemicals in it that pipe tobacco, but they are both as bad as each other, just the pipe baccy smell much nicer.

Well - I think that's a very noble sentiment Skell - I'm sure putting anything other than air in one's lungs is probably not the best thing to do.

For me - given that I have a pipe and very occasionally crack it out (but there's normally 2 months in between using it) - the pax is great for me as I've always adored the smell of unburnt tobacco - but been disappointed with the taste of burnt tobacco.

However - it will probably end up in that drawer with countless other hardly-used gadgets I have spent similar amounts of money on in the past! And as a bloke I reserve the right to do that! As blokes we have very little left to cling on to in this modern world ... but they will never take away our right to buy useless gadgets. Never!

I just keep it real blood! Seriously though, I don't miss the feeling on inhaling smoke, I never much enjoyed it when I smoked.

Thats why I used American SPirit Organic tobacco. No other additives or chemicals.
