I finally ordered an electronic cigarette

After months of being tempted about electronic cigarettes, I finally ordered a fairly cheap one in order to see what all the hype was about. I ordered the PeeWee (about the size of a regular cig) and 30ml of Camel flavored Fierce (36mg nicotine!) liquid from Puresmoker.com. I should get it within several days. Has anyone else tried them? If so, which one is the best? I know some forum members use them occasionally or frequently, so educate me about them!

    Looks pretty real, eh?

It does look realistic snusjus!! I've been curious about it ever since TropicalBob mentioned it a while ago. I'm just too cheap to buy one!!

Once you get it, I'd be interested to see it working. Maybe you could post some pics with it "Lit" once you get it.

      Snusjus,

Definately tell me what you think of these & the nic hit when you get it. I've been curious to try these. A review would be much appreciated.

Totally agree. I've also been curious, and have also taken Tropical Bob's advice to hold out for the imminent good ones with increased disposability and value.

I got my first e-cigarette in the mail tonight. First off, I don't plan on using one that often; my desire for an e-cig stemmed from curiosity to see what it's like. The draw and strength on the Super Cigarette (name of the e-cig) is great and gives a good nicotine hit with the Camel juice (36mg). Be careful though, I took about 40 drags in a row and felt my heart almost explode!

The greatest drawback for the e-cigarette is the taste; it has a burned odor that reminds me of those horrid Eclipse cigarettes (it's probably from the metal atomizer). As well, my lungs seemed to be a little soar after a good puffing session. The cigarette made me cough as well (I though coughing means your lungs are trying to reject something toxic!). Anyways, I might puff on my e-cig every once in a while, but snus is still my favorite, by far!

I use both -- nearly all the time. Snus, for me, is superior in nicotine delivery. But it does nothing to ease a former cigarette smoker's hand-to-mouth habit. E-smoking satisfies that, and provides visual feedback when exhaling vapor.

That cough, by the way, is not rejection. When a blast of nicotine vapor hits the top of your lungs, the muscles "freeze" and it feels like you got whacked in the chest. Can't breathe. The cough is your body's way of relaxing those muscles and letting you breathe normally again. It's a survival reflex. Use zero nicotine liquid and you won't cough. Use 36mg liquid and you emphatically will cough with each inhalation.

I love e-smoking, but it's still fraught with reliability problems. Sometimes works great; sometimes doesn't. Atomizer life is short. Batteries run down in two to four hours and need recharging. Handling cartridges and liquid is messy.

Here's a rule: The smaller the battery, the worse the e-device. Those that try to look like a "real cigarette" rarely work well. The carts run dry quickly; the battery is dead in an hour or two. The very best are Janty Kissbox units and what are called 901s. Buy cheap and you'll soon buy again!

E-smoking is evolving rapidly and you will soon see $10 disposables that will allow you to decide if e-smoking is worth a bigger investment. I hope I can post a link, because I write daily at e-cigarette-forum.com.

            Stop by and visit.

I have one just like that called the "minicigarette". Bought the camel flavored juice from pure smoker as well. It tastes alright but only gives off a good amount of smoke for the first 10 or so drags after putting 2 drops on the atomizer. Cool little thing though and really gets the edge off sometimes.

It was worth the 50 or so dollars in my opinion. Smoke rings work great lol.

I smoke a "modded" 3.7 volt ecig that uses a camera-style Li-ion battery. This mod is juice-fed, so I don't have to keep refilling the cartridge with e-juice. This little box is called the "Mr. Puffer MP1" and can be had for as low as $35 at pufftronic.com. All you have to do is buy juice and atomizers, then vape away!

I love ecigs as much as I love snus.

Reliability is the reason I never tried ecigs. Who wants to replace atomizers and batteries on a regular basis... You have to always have a spare on hand for backup.
38 years of smoking. 19 months on snus. I got over the hand to mouth within 6 months.

I have one. I originally picked it up to help my GF quit smoking. She is still smoking so I use it once in a while. I picked up some Clove falvored cartridges and I take a couple puffs once a week or so. Snus got me off cigs, snuff helped keep me off when I was tempted at first and the e-cig is really more of a novelty, but I couldn't let it go to waste since the intended user isn't using it. I enjoy it when I use it, but I would be just fine without it. That being said... I haven't done any heavy drinking since I quit smoking, so it may come in handy when I am drunk since that's usually when quitting smokes goes completely out the window. Of course, I didn't have snus in the past either, so only time will tell if the e-cig becomes a useful tool in staying away from smoking.

                      OK....

I did it. I've been curious for a while. But I was either unsure, or nor sure I wanted to lay out so much money, as some of these e-cigs have been.

So, I stopped in the local T-store, looking for some WB chew, Skoal Cherry or Apple, and had the thought to ask if they had e-cigs, and they did.

They had the single disposable kinds, they were $9.99. Menthol and regular. Maybe should have done this option. They also had a bigger kit for $67, but what caught my eye was a kit for $25. I can go $25. It's called Njoy Classic. Came in a cigarette pack box, yellow color. Here is a pic:

I just now opened it. I hope it has instructions. I've never had one of these(any e-cig).

I'll report back when I get it up and running.

I have tried them. Didn't really appeal. Thankfully Snus and Snuf have allowed me to make cigarettes a take it or leave it thing. If I smoke while out one night I will go a week easily without really wanting a cigarette.

Well, I just got it for something to mess with, not that it will satisfy my nicotine desires, heck, I use snus, dip, chew and snuff anyway. I guess I'll be a quad-user. I do like the idea to sit in the house(our non-smoking house) and puff on an e-cig.

Got the battery thing attached to the charger, attached to the usb, and says it takes about 3 hours for initial charge, or till the light changes from red to green.

That for me at least would only enforce my physiological addiction to smoking.. I need to step away from this thread before My mind thinks about it.
