    E-Cigs

but you guys have to check this out. What a big waste of time and money.
A plug in smoke. Didn't they try this stuff in the early 2000's with a plastic cig that you put a cartridge into and it didn't work? I guess they just added a water vapor to that. Talk about inconvenient.

But, I would've given it serious thought and probably gone that route if I hadn't have found snus!

I've read that these things are becoming fairly popular and the FDA wants to ban them. Some organizations are pushing for their use only in designated smoking areas.

These things are actually legit. I know of a handful of people who have quit using these. They are just nicotine vaporizers essentially.

I hear what you guys are saying...anything is better than inhaling all the toxins from cig smoke...and i mean anything but I just can't help but think that if I really wanted to quit I would spend the money on a device that imitates smoking...believe me i'm sucking on a lollipop stick while I have a snus portion in my mouth to get rid of the physical withdrawals and it is not helping!

Edited per post below...thanks for the catch I used the wrong word...

I might be mis-interpreting your post, so forgive me if that's the case, but although the taste isn't imitated, it imitates a cigarette and you still draw from it. They even have tips that glow like they're lit.

It's too synthetic for my taste. I also try to avoid Chinese food products, and if I can't trust them to make decent food, I don't know how I can trust them to make inhalable mist.

Hey Guys thought i would just post in here as i have good experience with ecigs.

Most of the ones you get on the market are not fit for purpose with a crappy battery that you need to change multiple times a day to keep running.

I now have a heavy duty version called a screwdriver that although looks nothing like a traditional ecig it just works It runs all day on one charge and i use the Super strength 36mg Nicotine Juice, this does have a powerfull kick and more harshness on the throat than any cigarette i have smoked.

Using the SD i have been smoke free for a few weeks now apart from one weak moment where i bought a pack of 10 smokes but this was a very stressfull and sad day and i only smoked about 5 before getting rid of the rest.

There are companys now that make the juice in the USA like johnsons creek and the UK like eco pure or TW in the uk that import from china but have the juices lab tested so you know whats in it.

Even with my heavy duty ecig the SD there are some times when it's just not practible and you do have to charge the batterys and get new atomisers etc.

This is why i am trying Snus, a lot of the automatic ecigs will also trigger themselves when in noisy envrionments or in places like a car, when i am driving i also have to stop to top off the carts with liquid or put a new cart on which can be annoying.

I am really looking forward to getting my hands on this snus and snuff i have ordered and if i like it then i think i may resort to using Snus all the time whilst i am out and about and at work and keep the vapeing for just at home.

If you do decide to go and get an ecig check out the forums e-cigarette-forum.com is a good place to start as there is a lot of crap versions out there and by doing a little research you can make sure you get a good one from the start.

There are quite a few people i know of that have quit real cigarettes and use a mixture of ecig and snuss to replace them.

If any of you guys have any questions i will try to answer them as best i can.

                      Cheers Lee.

There are a few folks who have been using them for a long time here, and they seem to love them

I like using my Janty Dura e-cig, but it more a toy than a cig/snus replacement.

I have an Njoy E-cig. I think it's fine. Never had any other kind so can't compare. It was relatively inexpensive, at $25 for the e-cig, 2 cartridges, a computer charger, and a car charger. I bought a pack of 5 replacement cartridges yesterday at $16 something. But I really don't use it all that much, I can't say I find it "satisfying", but it's sorta like a novelty. So, I'll smoke it now and again.

I have tried about 4 different types. There are definitely differences between them but in all cases they aren't satisfying to me either. That was when I realized I was addicted to nicotine, not the act of smoking. With portions I pop them in, toss them out, with e-cigs you have batteries to keep charged, atomizers that foul up and have to be replaced regularly, cartridges that need to be replaced constantly, etc. In addition here in WA they just passed law banning them in all places where smoking is banned and they are still pushing to get the "dangerous" product away from the children (pause for head exploding).
