I've talked with lots of people that have used ecigs and went right back to smoking normal cigarettes. Some people it may work for, but I am quite happy with my snus.

I used a nicotine inhaler to try and quit smoking before. I had to get a prescription for it and it was pretty expensive. It wasn't that bad but I had to stop using it after a few days because it was killing my throat. Snus seems to work much better for me long term.

I seen a girl using an Ecigg in a bar, and she was getting lots of looks and questions.

...and killing anyone around you and yourself. That Black Box warning isn't there to look pretty.

Ecigs are good they worked for me , I kicked a 20+ year habit with them , and just took up snus and snuff a while a go for a more stealth and different nic kick

I didn't try Chantix but I did try Zyban for a couple of weeks. It really didn't do crap and I spent over $100.00 to find that out.

I used to be into them, actually stopped using snus with them for a month or so, but they just didnt do it for me. Since I quit smoking with chew, and moved to snus, inhaling the nicotine just wasnt satisfiying anymore. It has a quick rush to it, but wears off waaay to quickly, leaving you wanting more. Thats actually how I started snuff, I needed a nic boost that lasted a little longer while vaping. But sooner or later they would always start acting up and wouldnt work properly. I soon went back to snus, while using ecigs for a boost. But after a while I just stopped using them, once in a while I will, but the PG irritates my throat since I stopped using them regularly. Now its just snus and snuff, which is more than enough to satisfiy me.

Far as all the chantix and those RX chemicals, to hell with that, id rather kill my self with excessive tobacco use, than to mess up my brain with those drugs. I dont trust anything that pharmaceutical companies/FDA put out over here. I see the comercials when I watch tv once in a while, and they have all these side effects, like may cause depression, death, weird reactions... Not for me.

I quit a 30 year smoking habit with an Ecig, so yeah they can work. Are they better than Snus? That all depends on the individual and what works for them.
Personally, i switched over to snus for several reasons, price, ease of use, conspicuousness. Even when i got into using sterks and extra sterks, i still had that "wanting to inhale something" feeling. In fact i still do now and i know it's not a nicotine craving. So to quell it I'll buy a cheap single swisher cigar or something similar every couple of weeks.
Recently i was out of any kind of snus for a day and i had a coupon for $1.50 off a pack of Camels. So i bought a pack, i now know i don't like cigarettes anymore but i still want to inhale something. So i think i'm going to resurrect my old Ecig. I've found all the parts, the batteries still had some charge even after 18 months of sitting in a drawer, just need to order some liquid and i'll be away.
Will i use it exclusively, no way, i enjoy snus too much, it is so easy to use, to me feels very "natural" and i think it is the best, most efficient nicotine delivery system. BUT personally I still feel like i need that inhalation habit.
I do think E-Cigs have their place. I think they have more "cool" factor to them. As a smoking replacement yeah they do great at mimicking cigarettes and the whole smoking habit but they do have a way to go in the reliability factor, and if you're looking for something that tastes like a camel or a marlboro it ain't gonna hapen.

Thanks for all the replies and input. I get emails to try one (free, Yea right) but I think they just want me to subscribe to their juice and parts provider. If I get one I won't go that way.
                      Thanks

I always wanted o try one of these, but cant justify the money to buy one, when I spend so much on snus as it is.

E cigs only worked for me after I started snus. For about 2 weeks after snus I used 1 but it got to be less and less frequent until I just stopped. I haven't even charged the thing in about 5 weeks and I don't think it would have been satisfying enough on its own to work. In conjunction with snus it helped

I stopped smoking because my lungs had enough. I couldn't see even trying an e-cig because I want my lungs to heal.

My babymomma's boyfriend bought an e-cig at 7 11 and went back to smoking three weeks later. She quit cold turkey for a few weeks did the e cig for a day or two for concentration and got right back to cigarettes.

They need to try snus...but won't. It makes not smoking so easy...

Hell no it's not better. E-cigs are a pain in the ass and deliver little satisfaction.

So here is a question, my wife has started smoking occasionally again. She quit when she got pregnant, but has been having a cig every few days or when she is having a glass of wine or something. For someone who is not smoking regularly, but is just looking for a quick nic hit to calm the nerves every once in a while, would an e-cig be worth it? I don't really like the fact that she started again, even if it isn't regularly, and she refuses to try snus. Just looking for maybe another alternative.
