Snus isn't really an Indian thing. I think this is just a cash in attempt on snus' newfound popularity. There /may/ be some other companies doing something, but I'd guess it's a small sideline to the snuff business. Oral tobacco has a long tradition in India, but some of it is nasty stuff, and fairly harmful to health. I'd try different local blends if I were traveling there, but I wouldn't want to make it a regular thing.

I mostly love Indian stuff, but I hated these Chaini Khanis. I'd rather use Camel Robust.

Hmm, well i'm dubious about how safe these are - think Pioneer los or Viking Snus portions from Thailand would be better if out that way. Thanks.

I've had the spice so far, and I like it a good bit. Interesting is a good word for it, as is "not good" :^D It isn't a snus I could use more than one in a row, but the flavor's very exotic, and it lasts forever. I'd liken it to incense. It isn't something you'd want to smell(taste) all the time, but it makes an interesting diversion.

I'd recommend everyone try it. I imagine the majority won't like it, but you'll never have another snus with a flavor like that. Keep an open mind, and try to appreciate it for what it is. Don't even think of it as snus. AFAIC, it isn't snus, but some weird Indian stuff, that'll give you an experience you're unlikely to find anywhere else :^)

I missed this earlier but what a perfect way to put it, lx. This is exactly how I feel about it. The flavor profile is to India what the sickly-saccharine winter-mint crap is to the USA, or bergamot for Swedes. It's like putting culture in your mouth!
