www.buysnus.com At the moment we will not have any offers on the Jakobssons and we will not recommend it either, there are other brands we would prefer instead of the Jakobssons.

January 10 at 7:14am · 2 peopleLoading... · .Phillip Safarik That's too bad. Jakobssons is imho the absolute best snus out there.

January 10 at 7:22am · .Justin Andersen I'd actually really like to hear what buysnus has to say about Jakobssons. I feel from that statement Jakobssons is doing something sneaky sneaky... I feel terrible too, because my last order was one roll each of Jakobssons Strong Original, Mint, and Wintergreen, as well as 2 cans of Julesnus. :x

Well I think either snuscentral or buysnus sent me a can of general wintergreen and general mint when I ordered a roll of mint and wintergreen. At first I thought oh cool and still do but now I'm suspicious.

I'm not sure I know what I'm reading there. My take on what I'm reading... Buysnus has some kind of problem with Gotland. That would also explain Larry's article since they're affiliated. I have no idea about the Sneaky comment, but from where I'm sitting, I think it applies to Buysnus. My interpretation is Gotland has a special arrangement with Northerner, and Buysnus is being shitty about it.

Business is business I guess, but trying to undermine a small snus manufaturer is pretty low. I'm biased since Gotland is my favorite maker, but I call 'em like I see them. It's one thing to ignore a maker who's offended you in some fashion, but it's a whole other level actively encouraging their failure....

The OP is taken from the Buysnus blog

I ran across it when trying to find info on Grov Kardus (which Buysnus was promoing)

When I read it I drew the same conclusion as you have (nothing sneaky from Gotlands ......rather sour grapes on Buysnus' part)

Also when I read it they had still not responded to the poster's request that they elaborate.

Yeah, I just ordered a roll of each Jakobssons new offerings then saw that post by Buysnus.

I figured maybe Jakobssons was doing something maybe against the whole "Swedish Standards", because these snus' are aimed at the American market. I was nervous maybe "well, they arent for here, so, might as well just not care". But, I do realize now, Jakobssons has teamed with Northerner.

However, I am upset with Gotland a bit; selling cans for the same price, and only giving 20 portions; sounds Americanized to me... Although, I cant say much, I got a can of Jak Classic Strong right in front of me. It does well <3

You know that sounds like them. I sent an email to buysnus asking them if they will add Granit to snusauction and they replied to me that they only feature "premium" snus on snusauction.

I can understand that and feel your pain a bit. It would probably bother me more if that was a new thing with the 3 new strong snus selections they have released, but being as how that is how it always was even with the original Jakobssons, I don't really think much of it anymore. The offerings are so delicious that it seems to make it worth it though imo. Gotlands certainly makes some of the best snus out there I think.

I don't know about the regular Jakobsson's now, but they first runs were indeed 24g tins. I'm sure they cut the weight to retain price parity/lower price with other brands. That's one of my pet peeves. I hate package sizes that change. Wtf are people going to do, quit after buying that product? Pro tip... You aren't saving money if the package is smaller. I'd rather pay more, get the proper amount of product. Coffee comes in 1# tins, Lös snus comes in 50g tins, and portion snus is in 24g tins. If those specifications aren't met, then they're doing it wrong :^S

Rant aside, Gotland is my favorite snus maker. The quality, and complexity of their snus is second to none, and they deserve to be more popular than they are.

                      Hello,
Regarding the pouches in the Jakobsson´s.
I have sayd this before in another thred, we can´t use more than 20grm in the can! we had 24grm in the test run of Jakobsson´s back in 2008 but these cans didn´t reach the market! (we had makeing the labels for that product tho and it was used for some pictures on the internet for our retailers, but the cans of 24 grm did´t come out to the market!!) 24 grm is to much in the Jakobsson´s can "the lid will open up" so therefore the weight at 20 grm!

Sorry for the high prizeing tho, it´s a premium product and we are trying to give you some campaines instead if our retailers are intrested of doing a campain with us we are always up to it
                      /Jimi

I applaud you all in your efforts to become smoke free. However, I have come to snus by a different rout and so I want to share my experiences with all those x-dippers who may be looking at this site for suggestions and direction to get started.
