I can tell no difference in quality between Jakobsson's and Gotlandssnus at all when you are talking about the actual product - a gimmicky tin with an ashtray lid doesn't make a product premium for me - I would take the Gotlands Gul flavour over Jakobsson's Original any day which is a watered down version. As for the new strong portions - they are horrible and taste of artificial sweeteners. I fear your protests about the 20 portions in a can meet on deaf ears here - SM do it fine with an ashtray lid and generally for the same price as Jakobsson's.

When you first launched Jak's you made a big point of using Swedish tobacco and this can which deprives consumers of 4 portions a go, you didn't mention it was a massive company priority over your traditional products and that you'd come out with some horrible artificial sweetened flavours geared solely towards the US market. Little did we realise that it would sound the death of one of snus connoisseur's favourite snuses.

Well done Gotlands - you twats.

I thought I was upset about the gul.......

Honestly I do not mind only 20 portions per tin. The classic is delicious and the portions are much more substantial than any portions SM puts out. I will take 20 Gotland portions over 24 SM portions any day of the week.

Now. Where is the new los????

I love the Jakobbson's Classic Strong and Wintergreen Strong (just don't like Ice Fruit for some reason, gives me a wet cardboard taste) but the other two are at the top of my favorites list.

Regarding the pouches in the Jakobsson´s.
I have sayd this before in another thred, we can´t use more than 20grm in the can! we had 24grm in the test run of Jakobsson´s back in 2008 but these cans didn´t reach the market! (we had makeing the labels for that product tho and it was used for some pictures on the internet for our retailers, but the cans of 24 grm did´t come out to the market!!) 24 grm is to much in the Jakobsson´s can "the lid will open up" so therefore the weight at 20 grm!

Sorry for the high prizeing tho, it´s a premium product and we are trying to give you some campaines instead if our retailers are intrested of doing a campain with us we are always up to it

Maybe I'm starting to get a hankering for a roll of Icefruit.

That's one of my pet peeves. I hate package sizes that change. Wtf are people going to do, quit after buying that product? Pro tip... You aren't saving money if the package is smaller. I'd rather pay more, get the proper amount of product. Coffee comes in 1# tins, Lös snus comes in 50g tins, and portion snus is in 24g tins. If those specifications aren't met, then they're doing it wrong :^S

Rant aside, Gotland is my favorite snus maker. The quality, and complexity of their snus is second to none, and they deserve to be more popular than they are.
I'm the same way, have to agree with you as well. I've only been snusing a few months now, but I've seen the amount per tin slowly dwindle also, and I already don't like it. I was skeptical about trying the new Jak's strong portions as they only had 20 pouches/can, although I have tried them and love the ones I have tried.

I am still displeased that they only contain 20 pouches however. The pouches seem to be a bit bigger than regular portions for whatever reason, at least I noticed that when I first tried them. If there were 24 portions/can I would definitely be buying a lot more. I would also be willing to pay more for the 24/can. Definitely some good stuff though.
