I was talking on a Lithuanian in Sweden expat forum about snus. One guy said that he used to live next to Bengt Sändh who is an intellectual, and used to have a suns factory. The factory was sold to Swedish Match, and it just got closed down a little over a month ago, which is just a shame. Has anyone ever tried this snus?

It seems that I am mistaken, He actually sold just snus making kits, like snusx, so that the swedes could evade paying so much for snus, because you do not have to charge a tax on an unfinished tobacco product. The Lithuanian guy says that there were so many orders placed for his snus, that he, had to go help him pack it. It might have been, that this Sändh guy was a pioneer in this make your own snus franchise

Yes, I LOVE CRICKET LIGHTERS. I loved them so much, that i googled them to find more about them and whaddaya know - Swedish Match makes them. I also just recently purchased a box of matches... they were made by Swedish Match.

they ran the factory for over 10 years, they are closing down, because of lack of demand

they payed the dude 10 million SEK for the factory. He now lives a care free life in Costa Del Sol in Spain, growing chillies, smoking fish, and writing books.

A nice business model, I guess their profit margin is quite huge, seemingly investing all over the world in quite some tough niche markets.

After the revolution in Romania there's been a match factory that was grossing around $4mil a year and was sold to some Germans for peanuts........ just sayin'

Yeah they own a lot of mediocre handmade cigars (These are just the U.S. trademarks for the cuban ones) I think CAO, Punch, Romeo Y Julieta, Macanudo, Cohiba (ha that was the biggest waste of money in my life seven bucks for a cohiba at a gas station and what do you know it was dry). They make something or are about to make something like two-thirds of the worlds pipe tobacco(disclosure I made this number up), STG owns Orlik, Peter Stoykkebe, Dunhill (under licensee) and a bunch of other stuff. They make Borkum Riff (it's kind of nasty but I guess people buy it to each their own) and half and half too and they had STG buy lane limited (captain black, small cigars(captin black is a big brand overseas),bugler ryo, Midnight train ryo(the official brand of people in jail), and 90 percent of "house blends" at a pipe store). So I figure the only non SM pipe tobacco is prince albert, carter hall, middleton (altria), Mcbarren, Cornehll and Diehl and then some small stuff which chances are they actually manufacture I think most pipe tobacco is made in denmark now. I think americans smoke more weed by volume than pipe tobacco now so I'm not sure what the deal with the acquisitions is.
