I like the idea.. but my one concern is what makes this exclusive?
Once it gets out people can just make an account and use the shop's special deals without making a single post or contribute in any way.

Points sound like a good idea, but maybe instead of points it should be based on a "rep" system, which many other forums use.
I've done a similar member type discount and promotions on forums that I have ran in the past, and sometimes it works great and other times unforeseen crap makes it tank.

Maybe one way to avoid post whoring is to have a maximum # of points that can be earned per day. That would at least minimize the incentive to whore and make it easier to manage from a mod stand point.

If the average person posts 3.6 posts per day and you set the max at 10 you are still well within most folk's normal range..................... thus there is an incentive to stick around and add a few more legit posts before logging off for the day.......................... but at the same time no one is trying to get 200 points before night fall.

I really like both of these ideas, and I really really like the exclusion of People and the World Around Us. A snus forum should be a snus forum.

I dont get all these newbies wanting to get rid of the People and World forum. Like it or not that forum is the lifeblood of this place. Without it this place would be deeeeeaaaaadddd. Who only wants to read about "whats in your mouth" and "what are you listening to"? After youve been here awhile, that shit gets old. The people forum is where folks personalities really show, and is sometimes the only forum I go to, depending on my mood. With snus, theres only so much you can talk about before it becomes redundant. With each new wave of newbies comes the same questions and topics that weve had a hundred times, so I for one really appreciate that section of SnusOn.....

Maybe I misread but I don't think anyone is calling for the People and the World forum to be taken out but only that the posts within it not be counted in the points system. The point system Northerner uses based upon purchase makes sense to me but a system based upon posting in some forums but not others might be a little awkward. I could be wrong, would not be the first time.

To look at it differently, why is a snus related post more important to this site, than an OT post in World? There's some garbage in the World section, but it's also spawned some memes that now part of SnusOn culture. Tom502 is immortalized here for his Nazi sky pilots, and I'd argue that his posts in World have been more influential than most of the other threads, in the rest of the forum combined.

I agree and you don't have to be afraid that it will happen. The shop won't change anything on forum it's only new part of the site. Seems like everything is going to be ready very soon and the launch day of the shop is next Monday!

as i understood the points can be used when you buy something can i give my points to someone or someones else or producers do not have that posibilytis ))))))?
