I love 02 so I have high hopes for this...I still think the nic levels are wrong.. It makes zero sense.. The best explanation I have found is below...
The Lab Series continues…
05/06 are interesting: 05 because it’s the first white one in the series. It’s somewhat of a departure from what seemed to be one of the 01/02 selling points: All the flavor of an original portion, less drip. No matter. While lab series bags were indeed less drippy than original portions, I still think I prefer white portions. I’m kind of a snus racist. Anyway it is listed as having 12.5 mg of nicotine per portion and should have a similar flavor profile as 01/02.
01 and 02: “Balanced round and natural tobacco taste with notes of green herbs, oak and ceder with a slight hint of nuts.”
05; “Well balanced round tobacco character with hints of green herbs, oak and cedar, and a little nuttiness and flowers.”
Flowers? We’ll see about that…
06 is interesting because it might be the strongest snus Swedish Match makes.
You may have read that both 05 and 06 have 12.5 mg of nicotine per portion, which is what the documentation I have says. The snus shops list them that way, too.
But I’m confident 06 has way more.
Here’s why: If it had 12.5, it would be weaker than 02, which is called a “Strong Portion” and has 13 mg per portion. That doesn’t make sense, as 06 is called an “Extra Strong Portion.” Also, in the documentation, 06 is listed as having approximately 2% nicotine. The thing is 0.9 grams. And 2% of 0.9 grams is 18 mg not 12.5 mg.
If I’m right, this means that 06 is the strongest snus Swedish Match makes.
The math works for 05, by the way: .0125/.9 = 1.38%
For 06, it should look like this: .018/.9 = 2.00%
He notes that this AD would not make sense if this was the case
Then a comment that knida makes sense from Mr. Waters
I hope you’re right about the 06 nic levels. If their lawyers are afraid of saying 18mg/portion, maybe Swedish Match should take a page out of Skruf’s playbook: Trust us, its really strong but we’re not giving out specific #’s.
