The daughter of a shopkeeper in Lincolnshire, she was the worst advertisement for people starting off in a lowly position and making it to the top. All too often, people who achieve greatness from the working classes manage to put it all down to their hard work and dedication and expect everyone else to succeed in the same way. What they forget is all the good luck they have had along the way and when they don't acknowledge that they are as bad as the people who are privileged from the start of their lives ... and in many cases 1000 times worse.

Of course I don't wish Alzheimer's on anyone ... that would be bad karma ... two wrongs don't make a right and all that ...

"The EU would maintain its ban on chewing tobacco - called snus. Only people in Sweden can use it, under an exemption acknowledging the country's snus tradition."

"....only people in Sweden can use it..." I hope the BBC got it wrong here!
It would not surprise me at all if the Eurocrats in Brussels decided to ban the consumption of snus altogether...

Thats just typical of the BBC, they need to sack some of their journos and proof readers, I am sure you are all aware of the Saville scandal and their sheer incompitence surrounding that!

I am Skell... and yet the BBC has an appeal no other news channel has... at least to me .... I have CNN, Sky and a few more, they are all loaded with ads and most presenters are just boring.

Is your internet capped? If not, you could watch RT. It's free to watch online and I don't think there are any ads.

I know exactly what you mean, when I am abroad, who is the first news service I go to? The BBC, it reminds me of home and makes me feel good and proud to be British! lol

Nope but I can get RT on TV here, I find Euronews presents a good view of things but can be very very pro EU sometimes, RT is just Russian propaganda with a friendly face but quite often does present a down the middle view on some issues (before hinting that Russia would have done it better lol).

RT is ok, KRT is much better http://www.elufa.net/krt-tv/houdou.html. It is unbiased and the emotion that gets conveyed is as genuine as it is amazing. It is what you call professional journalism http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9M7egqcX90I

Here in the UK our PM Cameron has announced that if the Conservative Party get elected in the next General Election they will consider leaving the EU. Given that the UK ban on smokeless tobacco did not stand prior to the UK joining the EU then if the UK is no longer apart of the EU the ban would no longer apply.
