I got the ball rolling yesterday, and I'm proud to say the world's first snus and smokeless podcast is coming soon! I've been rolling this idea around for a few years and glad to finally have it up and going! When I mentioned it before I saw a lot of folks interested, so I'm hoping you guys tune in, because I'm really excited about this.
The news:
"I've been into podcasts for quite some time now. Mainly because I spend so much time in my car. I've been a fan of the SmodCo podcasts that Kevin Smith does, and while mine isn't anything like that, I am interested in doing a podcast about snus to appeal to people like me - smokeless tobacco users.
I started the SnusRevolution.com domain to do more political stuff, and I didn't end up moving forward with that and ended up with a domain I wasn't using, so I figured it would be the logical name and place to host this new podcast. In a way, it is a revolution, because no one has done a snus podcast yet. We've been doing websites, blogs, forum and YouTube videos for quite some time, but no one has crossed over into podcast territory, so the name Snus Revolution still fits.
I enlisted the help of my good friend Lyrical Sativa (you guys know him as Texasmade), a musician and fellow snuser from Georgia, to compose our opening theme. My good friend Bobby is helping with the tech side of the podcast - doing all the mixing and producing. And I plan to have a variety of guests over the upcoming episodes as well, friends from all over the world.
I also plan on it being very in touch and interactive with our friends as well, and those new to the world of smokeless tobacco, so if you have questions, comments, or personal stories about yourself and snus use or adventures in the world of smokeless tobacco, feel free to email them to snusrevolution@gmail.com and we'll read as many as we can on the air and answer any questions you may have!
That's really all for now, just an update on the plans. I'm looking forward to having the first episode up this weekend, and hopefully getting everything worked out with iTunes and all that as well.
